This 2001 S500 runs and looks good. The engine compartment is clean. The exterior paint is good except it does have some rust on the bottom edge of the pass side doors. Most everything works except the fuel gauge is inaccurate and the climate control blower makes a little noise like a dry bearing. I have had this car about 3 years and have driven it part time. I have put about 30,000 miles on it and drive it on long trips regularly. I purchased the car from an insurance company. The car was in a fresh water flood in a parking lot in Chicago. No water ever got into the car, but the lot it was in did flood some other cars. I had to get a "rebuilt" title for the car, since the insurance company always totals out flood cars. As I mentioned above, I drove the car immediately after buying the car and have put about 30K miles on it since buying from the insurance company. This car is loaded with all the great S model fetures like auto-shut doors, rear blinds, all seats heated, navigation, etc...
