We are selling this unit for the Village of Venango. It was purchased originally by the Venango Community Fire Association, and was titled to the Village when they acquired their big new 1958 Pontiac V8 powered GMC Fire Truck. They also pretty much quit using this truck at that time. We will try to find an answer to your questions, but none of the original firemen are with us today. Dodson Motors is simply acting as broker on this deal. Your title and Bill of Sale will come direct from the Village. Dodson Motors, Inc. will handle the payment. This will be sold as "Tow Away" because the brakes are not functioning. This has sat for many years. Before that it was used only for parade use. It has set in the Fire Hall since new, except for our worst hail storm in history. It got hit by grapefruit sized hail in 1961. Hence; every light and piece of sheetmetal has large dents. It also has some other scrapes added over the last 64 years. The truck will start and run while hooked to a charger. It has 3,575 total miles since new. For some reason there is no glass in the instrument cluster and the floor mat needs replaced. All hoses, ladders, buckets, fire extinguishers, etc. that are pictured are part of this auction. Most of the lights appear to work including the center oscillating one. Siren works, but it has been beat on profusely over the years by impatient volunteer firemen. Best guess is; tires are the originals. Dodson Motors also has a 1941 IH pickup running on another auction. Add $99 to end of auction price to help defray a some of the Ebay and Paypal charges. The Village won't want to keep it a long time, and it is your responsibility to insure at auction end. The Village or Dodson Motors assumes no liablilty for any damage that might occur to the truck between auction end and pickup. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. We do not charge extra to help load! We do require at least 48 hours before pickup to get unit ready to go and loading will occur between 9am and 5pm. $500 is due within 48 hours of auction end, unless other arrangements have been made. Our family has been here farming and dealing in transportation since 1886. We haven't left for 126 years so there is a real good chance we'll still be here at the end of the auction.
