Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 2006 5 Series BMW 530i. Reason for selling is none other than just recently obtaining a company vehicle. The car has very low miles for an '06. Gas mileage wise, around town I averaged 23mpg and highway was around 28mpg. The interior of this car is in showroom condition. I am the third owner of this vehicle and apparently it was very well taken care of before. I am a very meticulous person and would not say showroom with it being that quality. The leather seats have no wear at all. The carpet has no stains or tears. The only thing I will mention is that the front floor mats do not have the velcro on the bottom of them. It was like this when I bought the car and have been meaning to purchase new floor mats for the front I just haven't gotten around to it. However, the mats are perfect besides that it just bothers me, you may differ. The iDrive works great and none of the speakers are rattling or blown. The sound system sounds really good. The brake fluid light just recently came on (70k miles) as well as the oil change (70k). Apparently these come on due to mileage and not level. The oil has been changed frequently, was just changed a month ago, and the brake fluid is full. I have not had the time to take it to a BMW dealership to get them to take the indicators off. Also, when the car is put in reverse the right rear headlamp needs attention indicator comes on. The reverse light is out and needs to be fixed. Again, no time. The exterior is is overall decent condition. I had the car washed and waxed back in September and something went wrong shortly after. Apparently, the chemical or scrubbing practices or something gave the hood, top of the car, and top of the trunk a dull/oxidized look. It really did not make me happy. Anyways, I got a quote from a place 30 minutes away to repaint these areas and they quoted me $700.00. This guy would do good euro paint and is a well-known collision center. I'm sure MAACO would do for much cheaper, but if I were to keep the car I would get it done right. Other than that problem the car has never been wrecked or vandalized. There is very small "door ding" on the passenger side. The guy was actually going to repair it for me as well (included in the quote). The engine has no problems at all. Since owning the car, I've never driven it hard. Always had the oil changed on time. As you can see in the pic, the engine still looks brand new. Serious buyers only. I've listed all the problems with the car. If you have any questions please ask.
