Up for auction is my 1967 Chevelle SS 396. This is a true SS with 138 code and one of the best built Chevelles you will find. It started out with an all original no rust body and frame. This car has all the original sheet metal that it left the factory with and still has the vin# stamped on the panels. This car si an original rust free Surviver. The car had a Show Quality paint job approximately 15 years ago and is still very nice and has an excellent shine. It is not a perfect show car only because of the age of the paint. The car has power steering and disc brakes and also factory front and rear sway bars. * The Motor and Drive Train are the high points with this car. The block is a 1968 396 bore .060 over for 408 cubic inches. The transmission is a new tremec TKO-600 5 speed manual rated at 650 HPm 650 foot lbs. of torque. The M22 rock crusher is a toy compared to this unit!The car has a 12 bolt posi with 411 gears. * I have alll the receipts for the motor and trans. * Motor is completely rebuilt and blue printed. * Speed pro forged dome pistons (10 to 1 compression and is fine with pump gas) * Forged steel crank (cut .020). * Rotating assembly(pistions, rods,crank, balancer, and flywheel) were balanced. * Comp. cam w/.556 lift 286 duration @ 050, Manley street flow stainless steel valves, three angle ract cut, new springs, seats, guides, magnum push rods and roller rocker arms. * Intake is a polished aluminum edelbrock air gap series, topped with a 750 Barry Grant Demond Carb. * The exhaust starts w/Hooker top of the line Ceramic Coat Super Competition Long Tube Headers and has Full 2.5" welded flow master dual exhaust system w/cross over. * Mallory Electronic Ingnition. * March Serpentine Belt System. * New AGR Power Steering. * 11" Performance Clutch and Pressure Plate. * 168 tooth Billet Flywhell, titanium/Alumininum Bell Housing, chrome moly balanced drive shaft. * Dual cooling fans. * This car runs nice and cool even on the hottest of days. * This car pulls hard and is not for the faint of heart. * Ok to summarize this car is a super investment and one of the best driving, sounding handling Chevelle SS's you will find.
