Absolute sale NO RESERVE!! 1993 Mercedes 500SEL W140 Mercedes with a rare color combination of Jet black (no metallic or gray) with Palomino Leather. NON SMOKING, Senior driven super cared for car! The palomino interior was a very difficult color to find for this body style in a 500 S class. EVERYTHING on this car works!!!!!! From the traction control to EVERY feature. There are a ton of options and features that I will list at the end of this description. As with any car there are things that are known to be a problem area and all have been taken care of already. The wiring harness for the fuel injection has been updated with a newer improved version that will not deteriorate. Next big job is the air conditioning evaporator inside the middle of the dash. That was done as well as a new touch button panel, blower motor, blower motor regulator, cabin filter and inside cabin filter all for the climate control. The rear hydraulic suspension has been changed to a coil and coil over shock system that works better than factory. The car is perfectly level and rides great! The car has stainless steel brake hoses, ceramic painted calipers, drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads all just installed 500 miles ago. The entire front end has new tie rods, upper control arms, stabilizer links, ball joints, steering shock, and fresh alignment. The car goes down the road pin straight. The car has 4 mint Nokian Hakkapeliitta studded snow tires all of the way around with 1998 Chrome S600 Mercedes wheels with chrome caps and chrome lug caps. ***This week the car was getting an oil change, new transmission service and a new valve cover gasket (oil seaping on the back side of the valve cover). While servicing the car the torque converter was turned over and drained of the transmission fluid. The battery was hooked back up, the car was restarted and runs rough now. I am not sure what happened. The car is still drivable and stays cool. There is no oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil. 65 MPH for any distance is not effecting the way it drives if you plan to drive it home. I have put thousands into the car recently and have to stop. I am just going to drive my SL now since there has been no snow in NY anyways but I will miss it. I have owned the car since 2003 when I purchased the car in SPOTLESS condition from the one owner. The miles show 166k but the entire cluster was changed since the original cluster shorted. The miles always recorded. The original cluster showed 253K and this one has been in the car for 2K totaling 255k. I am an honest seller. The car has had the hood repainted, the mirrors repainted and the rear bumper repainted in it's lifetime and that's all. There were 2 little rust spots that were touched up and have not returned in 3 years. One on the trunk lid edge and one of the moonroof edge. Some features you will love!! The car has a rest feature that keeps the heat going in the car for 20 minutes even when you shut off the car and go into a store!! The mirrors tuck in with a switch on the console. The rear seat is power and heated! The glass moonroof feature was a $5000 option! The stereo and CD changer is factory and sounds amazing through the 11 speaker Bose sound system. The car has the phone feature that is pointless now but neat looking at night with all of the lights lit up. The 4 doors are power closing so it takes no effort to close them. The trunk has a handle that comes out to allow you to close it with the handle and not the paint finish. The trunk also has a close assist. Keyless entry still works properly. When you lock the car with the key and hold it there it closes the windows and moonroof too. 1993!!!!!!!! The car was $109,000 new. Tilt wheel and telescopic steering wheel done by a power switch. Both power mirrors work. All of the windows work perfectly. The door glass is thermopane (not bulletproof as some people state). This is so there is never fog inside your car windows and for sound proofing. The car is very quiet and precise driving. I have found factory seat inserts and will include them so the front driver seat bottom can be fixed. The stitching lets go after time and the new leather can be stitched in. The second one I have as a spare (it has a stain that will not show). The seats are all heated and the front seats move in 12 different positions with 3 memory settings on BOTH front seats. The lumbar still works and has 5 settings. Oh my goodness there has been sooooooooooo much time, money and love spent on this car!! Due to the lack of knowledge of these cars I am forced to sell the car. I hope it's easy to fix and that the car gets the attention it deserves. You are treated like royalty when you pull up in this car! It always gets kind comments. I have a clean clear title in my name with no liens ready to hand over.
