RELISTING DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER! CAR IS A PROJECT CAR. NEEDS WORK BUT GREAT START! 1975 Porsche 914 2.0 id # 4752903892 1975 Porsche 914 2.0 diamond silver metallic great restoration project! We are very happy that we have rescued this car and now can offer it to you our fellow 914 enthusiast as a great and fairly easy restoration project. Stored under a burlap cover for a couple of years, this car previously ran and drove just fine having various service work performed over the years at 914 world headquarters Automobile Atlanta. Only after the ESTIMATE for rust repair did the owner park it being discouraged by his inability at the time to foot the cost. Several years have passed since. Now, as we all know, the 914 restoration hobby has taken off, so cars that would have previously not been considered are now GREAT restoration candidates! Such is this one. 1975 Porsche 914 2.0, special order diamond silver metallic paint, factory installed front and rear sway bars, dual horns, driving lights, actually even had a center console with gauges (now gone) and of course the sweet 2.0 factory fuel injected engine. This car basically has two issues: rust and previous front end damage in the left front. Address those and you will have a nice car again. As you can see by the pictures, the floor pans actually look good and the original battery tray, although rusted, IS the original! The door jambs, and partial longitudinals need to be addressed. As the repair panels are readily available and very inexpensive, any home hobbiest/welder can easily restore the body of this simple uncomplicated car, and the fact that it is complete as you see it with nice hardware means very little expenditure for expensive parts! (just look at that nice rear roll bar chrome!) We started the 2.0 engine and it runs but has an oil leak. Considering that the car ran well three years ago, a complete service and fuel flush is in order. The transmission shifts through the gears, the brakes stop the car, and the electics are in order except for the turn signal and wiper switches which have some burned wire ends, all simple fixes. The car shows 90 some thousand miles and we would believe it from several hints: First the gas tank area is virtually pristine with original gas tank sticker like new and gas tank finish excellent. Next, the original air pump and emissions control is fully in tact and functioning including having the drive belt installed. Thirdly, the instruments look very clean with bright orange needles and sharp white lettering. Fourth, we have the complete owners manual packet and service history, those documents alone highly sought after by collectors and attesting to the value of this 914. Lastly, the carpets do not show much wear along with the dash and the rear insulator pad. This will make a nice car one day. Buy this 914 and have a great work in progress. Heavily optioned, very rare extra cost optional paint, great 2.0 engine, you will not be disappointed in your purchase. Opening bid is less than the value of the running 2.0 engine alone!!!!! Jump on the 914 restoration bandwagon today before prices go through the roof and next year you regret your decision not to buy one! By the way, any part, new or used, you need for your 914 purchase can be had through us. Simply request the part, we will list it on e bay and it is yours. We can load this car with all of the restoration parts you want for a small extra cost and deliver them with the car. Please do not hesitate to call me personally any time with any questions what so ever. I am constantly on the lookout for great 914 deals like this one and 24 hours a day have my finger on the pulse of the 914 market. Chris Smeresky 404 520 7290.
