Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1983 Honda Goldwing GL1100, Interstate model. For it's age I believe this bike is in good condition; the paint shines up nice, although there are scratches thru out. Some of the chrome is pitted, specifically the bars around the saddlebags, under the rear trunk, carb brackets, spots on the engine guards. The left exhaust pipe is discolored and has some acid splatter from an apparent battery failure. The seat has a small tear in the corners, where it meets the sides. The radio will power up but is stuck on one channel and you can hear the static thru the speakers. I believe this bike came equipped with some type of air pump for the suspension, however this does not work. The mileage is 52491. She's missing one of the marker lights on the front rotor cover - I've seen these for sale on Ebay. The timing belts are new, as are the front fork bushings and seals - the rear tire is a Dunlop with less than 1000 miles. Front tire still has some tread left. New front brake pads, a Randakk carb kit, new solid-state turn signal relay and the oil filter conversion kit, which eliminates the old cartridge filter and uses a spin-on type filter which can be purchased at any auto parts store. Bike has a clear title. When the oil was changed recently it was not milky and I removed the radiator cap, started the bike and didn't see any bubbles. This was my daily driver for awhile - would run like a top at times and at times have a miss or act like she was loading up, then clear and run like a top again. I was told the carbs might need to be fine-tuned, that the stator could be an issue, etc.. Because of the carb setup (4), these bikes seem to run rich - speed was the deal at the time, no doubt. I no longer have a need for this bike and that's why I'm selling her. I feel it would be a great starter bike if someone was looking to restore an older Goldwing. Any questions please feel free to ask - I've tried to be as descriptive as possible - if you're looking for a barn-find, this is not it. This bike is being sold as-is, there is no warranty - either expressed or implied and no returns. If you have zero feedback please email first before bidding or your bid will be canceled. Payment: A non-refundable $100.00 deposit is due within 24hrs. after close of auction - the balance due within 7 days. Methods of payment accepted - Cash in person or bank wire transfer. I will not accept the full payment thru Paypal, this is for deposit only. Shipping: Buyer is responsible for all arrangements regarding transportation/shipping. Must be picked-up within 7 days unless prior arrangements are made. Payment must be received and cleared before bike and title will be released. A bill of sale/notice of sale will also be completed at the time of purchase. Good luck, thanks for looking and happy bidding!
