Here I have a 1968 real deal factory 'S' code matching #'s 390 factory 4 speed convertible with good options including rare tilt wheel, power steering and power top...and I have the original BUILD SHEET! It doesn't get any more rare than this! I can say this...FIND ANOTHER ONE! Original color is royal maroon with black standard interior and factory console. The car does run excellent and probably will drive but I didn't want to run it with the gas tank not being flushed out. The clutch grabbed when running the engine on a separate gas can and the engine ran great! Car has been sitting quite a while and very little rot has gotten to this car aside from the right front frame rail area which is pictured. The rot is really the oddest that I have ever seen as this is the only place on the car where it rotted. It has gotten to the front frame rail, lower rad support and other little areas there as you can see. Other than that there is little rot on this car and I mean very little! The surface rust is light on the car, gaps are excellent and all body panels appear original except for the drivers door which has been replaced and there is no door tag but vin # is stamped on fender and fender tag is present and pictured. Rear frame rails are perfect, left front frame rail is perfect, floors are excellent but drivers side furthest front by pedals is a little weak (pictured), trunk is excellent with no rot, quarter panels are exceptional with no lower rot ever and all solid (light bodywork on upper drivers side 1/4 from fender bender many years ago), doors are excellent, fenders are excellent the hood and trunk lid will need replacing as the inside is rotted. The drivers side engine bay brace is in the trunk. The top frame is fine. I am not a mustang guru by any means but as mentioned, the car has a build sheet and vin number clearly stamped on inner fender!
