Vehicle Detail

I bought this car for my son. It needed a few things fixed before I gave it to him. In the meantime, he decided to buy a 1995 Ford Explorer with damaged bearings. So now he cannot afford to repair the Ford and register the LS400. 32 year old Kids! Lexus wanted to make a car that would run forever, and that car is the LS400 Good condition is still fast, smooth and silent. A serious car for the money, makes it an ideal lazy mans/enthusiasts sound second hand buy. Excellent value for money. The main dealer service levels don't stop just because the car is getting older, or second hand. Fuel economy not nearly as bad as everybody expects for 4.0 V8 - approximately 25-30 MPG on a run if you take her steady. Most solid car I have ever owned. Solid meaning it holds the road very well and doesn't have any annoying creaks or rattles. It feels like I'm riding on air. The interior was build well with no cheap plastic. leather interior is holding up very well - I am 6'1" and roughly 225 lbs - there are no rips in the seats or the door panels. I like the little things that make ownership such a pleasure. Heated seats heat up immediately in the winter. Such as the fact that the air conditioning kicks in within seconds of starting the engine. Or, that the rear window starts to de-mist before I have had time to fasten my seat belt and select reverse to back out of my drive. idles perfectly and feels great. All the windows work, moonroof opens and closes easily, 12 way drivers seat works excellent, as well as the passenger seat adjustmentss. Dual airbags for safety of the occupants. Steel reinforced doors to minimize side impacts. I honestly feel like this car is going to run forever. 349,000 miles on the clock and it runs better than any other car I have driven. Except my 1999 LS400. Still runs like new, better than cars with half as many miles.. High miles and yet the engine still runs quiet. This vehicle has been a dream. Everything still works, transmission shifts incredibly smoothly, no smoke, doesn't use up oil. Mechanically flawless. Great comfort, responsive acceleration and European handling make this car a please to own and drive. I know it can last another 150K. There are now documented LS400 with 600,000+ miles! The body has no signs of rust or rot, and living in New England, this is a plus. Frequent Oil changes withs synthetic Mobil 1. Blue book value $4500+ Had all the options of the 1993 except air shocks. Recent work: New brake lines replaced by Lexus for $800 New alternator and power steering pump. Tires are micro-balanced so they run smoothest and quietest Replaced front hood latch, hood would not stay closed. New exhaust system front to back Very little rust for this year car Clear and open title The BAD: Nakamichi Radio and 6 Disc CD player were removed. I am resourcing a 1993 -1994 Instrument Panel warranteed to replace the one that was stolen, when I left it at the local garage. A/C Control unit has the well-known LCD darkening Has had some bodywork on the left rear fender and painted to match the rest of the car. Needs new emergency brake cable replacement Slight leakage in power steering hose on drivers side near radiator, a bout a quart every 500 miles.
