Well I have this beautiful 1978 280z for auction. This 280z is running strong. I bought this 280z from the second owner with the intent to restore to an everyday driver. In the last couple of months the original L28 engine was rebuilt at my mechanic shop and a moderate 2 stage paint job was sprayed. This 280z is now ready for a new home. I will include the original Purchase Order, Trade in purchase order, EPA paperwork, 1978-81 Registrations, original brochure and maintenance records. This is a rare find and someone can now own this rare 1978 280z and enjoy all its history. I haven’t gone through all of the paperwork, but I’m sure you will have a great time sorting through all the paperwork and will find more history on this true rare find. Gross Horse Power 170. Compression is great. Rebuilt head and new head gasket, Crank machined at .10, hastings piston rings, new rod bearing and main seals, new timing chain and rails, new freeze plugs, new oil pump, new water pump, new fuel pump, new starter, fresh oil and filter, new NGK spark plugs, fresh coolant and freshly painted engine block. Engine is in great condition and should last you a very long time. My mechanic has encouraged me to take is slow for the next few hundred miles. Transmission: Automatic: dealer optional original automatic 3 speed transmission in good shape. A/C: Needs refill according to previous owner. Exterior: The 280z is sporting a fresh 2 stage paint job color matched at close to original. Before the paint the exterior had only minor dings. All doors open and close fine and lock/unlock with key. All lights work. Rear hatch open/closes fine and hydraulics are in great shape. Italian made Vitolani racing mirrors. New windshield with rubber gasket 1 year warranty. Interior: The interior is in good shape overall. Not perfect but decent. The seats have seat covers. Factory custom door panels. All instruments work fine even the clock. Windows are manual and roll up/down fine. Seats move freely. The original spare tire is included with all is original accessories. Headliner perfect. Carpet in decent condition. Dash has 3 minor cracks. New window Tint. Rims and Tires: Original dealer purchased Cyclone III Mags with new tires as per purchase order. Rims were cleaned and polished. Rims are rated a 9 very minor rash. New Tires 205/60/14. Brakes: Appear to be in good shape. Previous claims to have replaced disc brake, rear shoes, replaced one brake line and rear cylinders. Exhaust: Custom Header, All New Exhaust front to rear and Magna Flow Muffler. 280z sounds moderate and very nice. Suspension: All suspension appears to be in good shape and all original, but might need stocks. Title and Registration: Title and Registration on hand. Clean title. Shipping: Buyer pays for shipping. Has lots of power and handles well on the road. No oil or water leaks. My ad description is to the best of my knowledge and might contain errors. This 280z is not prefect by no means. Could use door weather stripping and shocks. The rear hatch has some rustinside from louvor leak. Body has to minor dings. It’ best you view all 24 pictures for an accurate visual and ask questions. The engine, emissions, injectors, MAF, throttle position sensor, idle, timing set to 10 degrees, wires, distributor, thermo time switch, head sensor, cold start valve and EGR were all checked and/or tuned to factory spefications.
