Up for auction is a 1991 Mercury Capri. This is an awesome convertible. It has both the hardtop and the Ragtop included. It also has the original hardtop stand for proper storage of the hardtop when not in use. The interior is in Excellent condition (see pictures). It is all original inside including the Ford AM/FM Cassette deck. Sound system sounds good. I am not a smoker and never allowed anyone else to smoke in any of my cars so this car is has a smoke-free interior. The exterior is in great condition with just a few minor paint scuffs (parking lots are my nemesis) that are barely visible, but I tried to include them in the pictures for accuracy. The paint on this vehicle is in excellent condition. It also has four good tires. The transmission was rebuilt less than 10,000 miles ago by Haas Transmission in Dexter, Michigan. I am the second owner and bought this car from my sister who bought it brand new right after Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited introduced this model in 1991. This was a weekend vehicle for me and I drove it very little over the years. The 48,315 miles on the odometer is correct. I am selling it because I am too old to work on it anymore and the engine started smoking when I started it up this time. Plus I just don't have room for it anymore. I figure that it shouldn't be too much to fix, but I can't do the work myself because of recent heart surgery. I know that this will be a great convertible car for that guy or gal who wants a great little convertible sports car that gets great gas mileage.
