I drive this Suburban 150-200 miles per day in my normal course of business, but my employer has been after me to get a newer vehicle since a big part of my job is visiting with clients. I've kept up all maintenance on this and it has newer tires (one is brand new as a result of running over some road debris and damaging that tire beyond repair). Its been extremely reliable and has taken our family on a number of long distance vacations over the years. Its loaded with factory options (leather power & heated seats, power windows, etc.). I would be keeping this if it weren't for my employer pressuring me. The Good: As I said, it's loaded with factory options and has no issues other than what I've listed below. Again, it's always been very dependable and I wouldn't hesitate to drive this Suburban anywhere. The Bad: - It has a small oil leak that leaves a couple half-dollar spots on my garage floor (leaks about a quart every 4,000 miles or so) - It has a vacuum leak somewhere near the top of the engine. It causes the engine to hesitate the first couple blocks first thing in the morning and occasionally turns on the "check engine" light. I've been told by a local mechanic that it would cost $10 to fix, but $100 to locate. (it's a minor thing so I don't bother with it) - It's got some rust creeping though the rockers, but the truck is still very solid. - If I were going to keep this, I'd probably replace the shocks (they're the original factory shocks with 233,000 miles on them) I've got this for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
