Frame on restoration on a 92K mile, well cared for 2 top convertible. Front end rebuild with Raybestos ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm and sway bar bushings. New KYB shocks. All parts removed, sand blasted and coated with POR. Underside was in exceptionally good condition needing only pressure washing and detailing. Even the factory installed cowl and tunnel insulation was still there, but replaced anyhow as it showed 43 years of wear.. Brand new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. Previous owner had the car painted factory 974 monza red approximately 4 years ago and still looks great. I 2000 sanded and buffed with Presta system and looks great. Has minor chips on leading edge of nose that won't show in photos. Inspection of underside of panels indicate no fiberglass or collision damage. PO also had the original, matching numbers, 327/300 engine rebuilt and added a slight increase in cam, Mallory/MSD ignition, Edelbrock aluminum high rise, Holley duel feed 600 cfm carb. and a Milodon 7 gt. oil pan. New clutch and brakes as well. Power steering. Has new soft top, and a beautifully restored vinyl hard top. Original bumpers have been re chromed and look better than factory. Has Kelsy Hays/Western Wheel knock offs (not the cheap imported ones) and side exhaust that sounds awesome. New fuel tank, new carpet front and rear with very nice original seats. Only wear on seats is small wear mark on one bead on drivers seat. Does not need replaced. Perfect dash and all other trim except shift indicator plate which has small dent. There are no reproduction plates available for 68's. All gauges work except clock. Has new radio with cd. Doors and all body panels fit as new, and doors close perfectly. Drives great with smooth shifting original 4 speed, and has no loud rattles, clunks or strange noises. Headlamps and wiper door function as new. There has been so much done to the car I am sure I am forgetting something so please email me with any questions. Starts, handles, shifts and is tight as when new. Nope, not a NCRS car due to changes but, the reserve is no where near a top flite, or Bloomington Gold car.
