FOR SALE BY OWNER is an immaculate and meticulously maintained 2004 Jaguar XJR Supercharged. The car has just 48,458 miles (our third car and my weekend driver) and is finished in the rare and desirable Onyx White exterior/Sand leather interior color combination. The Jag has received tasteful cosmetic upgrades and is strictly garage kept with an indoor car cover. A detailed description and pictures of the car are set forth below. I am a car enthusiast and it took me several months of searching and two road trips (including an unsuccessful trip to Arizona) before I decided to purchase this Jag in September 2010. The car had 44,323 miles at the time and was owned by an older gentleman and his wife. The Jag is an impressive combination of eloquence, power (390 hp/399 lb ft of torque) and overall driving prowess. The car has been an unqualified joy to own and is absolutely deserving of its Buy-It-Now price. I would love to keep her, but I am trading up to a Porsche Panamera and we don’t the room or the budget for four cars. MAKE/MODEL: 2004 Jaguar XJR Supercharged - $77,195.00 MSRP (see pics of original window sticker) MILES: 48,458 (which may increase by less than 100 miles by auction close) COLOR: Onyx White Exterior/Sand Leather Interior (this is the only one in this color combination on eBay and I found only a handful across the entire county on www.cars.com) ENGINE: 4.2L V8 Supercharged Engine producing 390 HP & 399 lb-ft of torque OPTIONS: Touch Screen Navigation; 16-way power front seats; Heated front & rear seats, steering wheel, and side mirrors; Sunroof with tilt function and one touch open/close; Wood/leather steering wheel; Power rear sunshade; Power adjustable and auto folding side mirrors; Power adjustable foot petals; Xenon headlights and LED taillights/ third brake light; Rear Park Distance Control (PDC); Adaptive cruise control; 19" OEM sport wheels with 80-90% tread on all four tires (255/40/19); also has a 19” OEM spare wheel in trunk (never used); Telescoping steering wheel; Power windows with all four having one touch open/close; Brembo Big Brake Kit (OEM); Front and rear side curtain air bags; 320 watt Alpine sound system; 6 CD changer in trunk and in-dash single CD (7 CDs total); and Every option available for model year except for front PDCs and back seat entertainment system. RECENT MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS All maintenance/repairs under my ownership were performed by Tyson’s Corner Jaguar and are documented by dealer service receipts (which are pictured below and which will convey to the new owner): Oil and filter change; Rear diff fluid change; A/C evaporator service; Fuel injector flush (this really made a difference); Power steering fluid flush with new fluid and conditioner; Replaced exterior body under tray; Installed new rear toe links; Installed new rear tires; and Performed four wheel alignment. AFTERMARKET COSMETIC UPGRADES: Mina Gallery trunk spoiler (professionally installed) Mina Gallery stainless steel lower front grill (professionally installed) (original grill is also included with auction); 20% window tint all the around with no tint on front windshield (really accents the Jag and compliments the Onyx White paint); Sand color, tailored made sheepskin covers ($600) from Sheepskin Express with the velcro sides to safely accommodate the side air bags in the two front seats; 2 identical chrome “Jaguar R Performance” License Plate holders from Mina Gallery; Custom fit, 5-layer, indoor/outdoor, 5-layer car cover (it is a nice grey cover with felt lining, but I would recommend investing in a heavier cover if you plan on keeping the car outside); 4 Jaguar “R” tire valve stem covers from Mina Gallery; K&N rechargeable air filter; and 4 Mina Gallery “Red Lion” wheel caps not installed (these came with the front grill and trunk lip, but were a little too aggressive for my taste. See pics on photobucket). MINOR IMPERFECTIONS & MISCELLANY: There is no curb rash on any of the rims. However, in the interest of full disclosure, two of the rims (front driver and back passenger) have very minor clear coat peeling, which is visible only if you are very close to the wheel and looking for it. It is so discrete that I was not able to capture it in the pics and was present when I purchased the car and, although I am very discerning about condition, it did not stop me from buying the car; Minor blemishes to the carpet in the back passenger side foot well (see pics) which are located under, and hidden by, the rear floor mats. These also pre-existed my ownership are very minor; Exterior is hand washed regularly (by me) and waxed twice a year with P21S; Interior is cared for exclusively with Leatherique products; Smoking or eating is not permitted in the car; and 2 owner car with NO accidents; High Autocheck and Carfax scores. TERMS OF SALE: A $500 deposit is due and payable within 48 hours of the end of this auction and may be paid by via Paypal. The entire balance of the purchase price is due and payable in full within 7 days of the close of this auction and must be paid to the seller either by wire transfer or cashier’s check. I would prefer a local purchaser or a purchaser who flies into Washington D.C. (Reagan National or Dulles) or Baltimore (BWI) and drives the car home. I will also ship the car at the purchaser’s expense and cooperate with the transportation company regarding pickup and other logistics. There is currently a lien/loan on the car held by the Department of Commerce Federal Credit Union, which I am satisfying in full this week with my personal funds. A clear Virginia title will be conveyed to the purchaser upon consummation of the sale and full payment of the purchase price. Personal inspections are welcomed, but must be completed prior to the end of the auction. Q: Some of the pictures in your auction and on your photobucket site have shadows. Will you post better pics…please post more pictures of the interior and backseat…pictures of the LED taillights would be nice…etc. A: The original pictures in the auction and on the photobucket site were taken on a sunny day and, in combo with the Jag’s white paint, cast shadows from every angle. I took some new pictures today and posted some of them on photobucket. The new pictures are somewhat better, but I still can’t seem to avoid the shadows. Please rest assured that the paint and the Jag’s overall exterior is in top-notch condition and very clean. The interior is also extremely clean and the leather has no rips, tears or stains and shows little wear. The interior wood trim does not have any cracks, scratches or peeling and is quite beautiful. It is readily evident upon first seeing the Jag that she is garaged kept and well maintained – both inside and out. There are not that many XJRs on the road to begin with and, with the pristine white paint, tinted windows and Mina Gallery upgrades, this Jag really distinguishes herself and draws a lot of looks. Q: Does the car have any rust? A: No. Q: What is the condition of the front seats? A: Both front seats are in very good condition. The passenger seat was used only about 10 times since I have owned the car and the backseats even less (maybe 3 times). The sheepskin seat covers are high-end and very thick/luxurious. I purchased the “tailored made” option from Sheepskin Express for $600 (with receipt to verify) and encourage you to checkout their website (www.sheepskinexpress.com) for additional info. The covers can easily be removed by the new owner. Q: Would you take $xxxx for the car? A: I am inclined to let the auction run its course now that the reserve is met.
