This listing is for a 1982 Jeep CJ-7 that I've owned since 2002. It was my daily driver for several years. It is a good, solid Jeep that would be excellent as a hunting vehicle or project. It has a 258 straight six with Holley Projection, so it starts and runs smoothly, even in cold weather. The motor does use some oil and blue smokes a little, though not to excess. It has a good 5 speed transmission that shifts well. The transfer case shifts smoothly and the locking hubs work fine. The rear brakes could use some work, but the Jeep stops fine as is. The windshield frame leaks a little in heavy rain. The heater has been replaced with a nice aftermarket unit that blows nice and warm. No radio. The fuel gauge doesn't work, it's probably a simply fix, but I've never bothered with it. It has a hardtop and hard doors with new chrome paddle handles. The paint is somewhat dull, but would shine up with a nice wax job. There are a few very small rust spots down low, but they haven't grown over the last couple of years. I'll include an extra 258 cylinder head with the Jeep. I've enjoyed this Jeep a lot, but I just purchased another old pickup truck and can't really justify keeping it around any longer. This Jeep is listed as is.
