Vehicle Detail
tmain1964 Store 1961 Bel air Up for auction is a 1961 bel air that is sure to please any crowd. These cars are rare and getting harder and harder to find in this shape. This car is sure to be a solid investment that you can enjoy! This is your chance to own an extremely well preserved and very original 61 Bel Air! This is a low mileage 1 family owned car that spent its entire life in a garage! This car is loaded with options. Factory power steering, factory power brakes, radio delete, a Canadian boxed fame, a 348 big block, tri power, and a 4 speed! The car has undergone a recent restoration and looks great! This 61 chevy still retains almost all its factory original GM parts. There were no cheap aftermarket foreign parts used. All the trim, bumpers, grill, glass, body panels, floors, trunk, ect are GM parts, the way they came from the factory! The car was never exposed to the elements and it shows! The underside of this car is ROCK solid! The floors, braces, trunk, inner rockers, ect. are original and rust free! The front fenders, doors, and rear quarters are also original to the car and are very solid! The car has a factory Canadian boxed frame! The doors open and close perfectly! All the original glass is nice and all the windows go up and down perfectly. The car was repainted to its original Ermine white. The paint is slick and shiny and looks great. It was done properly and was completely disassembled when painted. The original bumpers are straight and shiny, the original side moldings shine good with a few dings. All of the rest of the bright work is nice! The interior was refinished to its original color code of 806 grey. The dash looks great and all of the inside chrome and stainless is original and nice nice! Underneath the dash is nice and dry and clean. All the original wiring is intact and nothing has been messed with. The Drivetrain consist of a freshly rebuilt 348 motor with a tri power setup. The front and rear carbs are not hooked up for reliability, but could easily be. The rest of the linkage parts to do so are included if the buyer wishes to do so. The 348 has a solid lift cam and runs strong! The motor is tight and sound and was built right! It breaths through a set of Sanderson headers. The T10 Borg Werner tranny has also been freshly rebuilt and shifts smoothly! The clutch and pressure plate are both new as well. The factory power steering is nice and tight and operates perfectly smooth. This impala gets its aggressive stance from a full air ride suspension, that was professionally installed. It has all high quality components from Air Ride Technologies, Viar, SMC, ect. The suspension is all brand new. It is fully adjustable by the press of a button, and can be set at you desired ride height. All the suspension is bolt on, and nothing was cut or modified. Much of the front end has been rebuilt, new ball joints, sway bar links, all bearing, ect. It has a new set of American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels, 18s in front and 20s in the rear, wrapped in new z-rated rubber. The grey center set will come with the car. If you prefer the chrome they are available for an additional $300 on the final purchase price. The front drums have been upgraded to disc, with slotted and drilled rotors. This is a great driving car! No rattles, squeaks, shakes, ect. It goes down the highway nicely! I took the car on a short road trip for almost 200 miles on the interstate and it did great! Its nice and quiet inside the car. The power steering and power disc brakes make nice to cruise! When you start with a good car prior to a restoration, they turn out that much better in the end. This is a very sound and tight car that that has not been pieced together and was restored using its original parts, not a rusty pieced together car with patch panels and aftermarket parts to make it look pretty. Everything lines up nicely and the fit and finish is great! The original key still works the ignition, doors, glove box, and trunk! Please allow time for the 150 high resolution pics to load.
