(916) 515-7216. ADDITIONAL PHOTOS MAY BE SEEN AT: FLICKR.COM/PHOTOS/THEWARRENS23 THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1959CADILLAC SERIES 62 CONVERTIBLE. THIS IS NOT A CADDY THAT HAS HAD THE TOP CUT OFF. THERE IS NO INTERIOR. See the last photo. THE DASH PAD AND THE ORIGINAL LOWER DASH FRAME COMES WITH THE CAR, BUT ARE NOT INSTALLED. THIS IS A SOLID CAR WITH NO RUST. THE FLOOR PANELS ARE NOT RUSTED OR PITTED. The motor runs, the car moves and the vehicle brakes. It has never been on the road. ALUMINUM BUILD TAG (VIN NUMBER) IS ON THE FIREWALL. This is my dream car custom street rod project that I have been working on since 2003. It was inspired by ZZ Top Cadzilla. My plan was to show this vehicle at car shows around the nation and get on the front cover of Hot Rod Magazine. This car underwent a frame off rotisserie restoration. The frame was altered and changed to suit the ability to lower this car within ½” of the ground. She raises 10” off the ground in full upright position. The modifications on the body include small details like the Double Dagmar chrome tip meeting the top of the extended base bumper with a 1/8” gap line instead of the near 1” gap from the factory. Exhaust tips travel through the reverse lens of the bumper. The rear bumper insert has the Eldorado hideaway gas cap cover. The front nose has been altered with a continuous horizontal bumper to emphasize width instead of the double parking lamps below the double head lights that was the 1959 design. This look harkens back to a Bel Air type bumper and grill. The custom bumper cut, fit and finish is better than what comes out of factory builds. The convertibl e top has been lowered at its mounting location 3” which creates a reverse rake on the convertible top and hides the frame structure below the back deck giving it a roadster look. 1959 Cadillacs had a 3” high boot that covered the convertible frame. This treatment gives it a more streamlined and less bulky look. Windows have been fitted to meet the new reverse rake. It pains me to sell this car but I must. This is going to be a great car for the right individual. I purchased the shell in 2003 for $25,000. The following items are what was purchased for the build of this car ($73,500). The dollar amounts do not include the hundreds of hours of labor that went into the car to the point it is right now. 502 Crate motor with high performance aluminum heads. $9,800 427 Chevy Corvette 3 Deuce (Tri-power) intake manifold with air cleaner. $4,000 Billit Specialties Serpentine pulley system with high amp alternator, power steering pump, water pump, power brakes and air conditioning unit. $ 4,200 Turbo 400 automatic transmission. $3,000 9” Ford rear end in a Lincoln housing. $3,000 2-1/2” custom headers and exhaust system with Air Flo Mufflers. Exhaust system is powder coated with high temperature ceramic metal flake silver coating. $ 3,500 Air Ride Technologies air bag modifications and Air Bag System installation $4,000 Boyd Coddington 18 x 8 front wheels and 18 x 10 rear wheels with low profile high performance Michelin Radial Tires. $5,000 11” disc brake system at all four wheels with Hydro Boost and reservoir. $3,000 Convertible frame stiffening with ½” plates at the cross frame and complete boxing of the frame with paint. $ 6,500 Suspension modifications on the front end in order to bury front wheels within the fenders and still turn. $ 3,500 Suspension modifications at the rear end for lowering ability and rear end attachment. $2,500 Bumper and body modifications prior to chroming and painting: $ 4,500 New glass at windshield and all window openings with new chrome window trim around doors, quarter window and vent window. All windows are mechanized with original Cadillac electric motors. All windows work. $ 4,600 Rechrome bumpers and stainless steel polish $5,000 Paint at body and undercarriage with House of Kolor - Nova Orange Fine Metallic (5 years old). $ 12,000. There are two small dents in the rocker panels from going on a jack system. There are a dozen chips in the paint. THE FOLLOWING IS UNFINISHED: Full Interior Convertible top and pumps (The photo showing the convertible top is a temporary cover to demonstrate the shape).
