Due to economic times and not going to have my shop space anymore as of febuary, i am forced to sell my 72 skylark custom convertible factory ac car, being built as a 455 4-speed gs with all oem gs parts. Started a frame off rotisserie resto 4.5 yrs. ago and for the last 2yrs. the project has had to sit. The car body and frame have been sand blasted, quarter panels replaced because of the usual rust in the wheel wells, the car has the original floor pans and trunk pans and are excellent, best 70s convert. body and frame I have seen. Frame is excellent has been completely powder coated and upper, lower control arms. Here is what I have and what has been done. The car is pretty complete with close to 18k invested into the car including all the oem parts, sandblasting, powder coating, all the oem parts, new body and chassie parts, motor and the car itself. I have oem 4-speed pedals, firewall boot and rod with z-bar, bell housing, used ta performance billet flywheel, oem gs snorkle aircleaner, very nice condition, oem steel gs ram air hood no rust very good condition, super nice oem gs grille, new in the box nos stage1 badges, very nice correct oem am fm radio, excellent professionaly restored correct 8-track with all paper work, diagrams, harnesses and install instructions, excellent restored correct floor oem shift tilt collum, very nice correct oem 4-speed speedometer and clock, fresh tripple plated oem n25 rear bumper, I spent a total of $4500 on all the oem gs parts and have a complete break down. 1972 455 short block, forged pistons, .040 all ta performance components, to much to list, block has 1800 miles on it and made 393 hp and 466 ft. lbs. at the tires with stage1 iron heads, b4b intake, msd ignition and 850 demon carb. I still have the dyno sheet. I have a set of 68cc 70 date coded heads to go with and another complete 72 455 short block with timing cover and oil pan, very nice condition numbered oem stage1 valve covers. All new rolling chassie with no miles on gm 12 bolt rear end with new eaton posi unit 3.73 ring pinion gears seals axels bearings and ta performance girdled cover. I have $2600 just in the rear end. All chassie components are brand new purchased from the parts place inc. include front and rear springs, front gas shocks, rear coil over gas shocks, edelbrock no hops, upper and lower boxed control arms neoprine bushed, 1.25 front sway bar, 1.00 front sway bar, neo end links, rear brakes and drums, front center link, tie rods, upper lower ball joints, neoprine bushed upper and lower a arms, complete new front power disc brake kit with booster prop valve brake lines ect. new front to rear brake lines and fuel line with hardware, new wire harness for ac car, new rear spoiler and new very good quality heavy gauge full rear quarter panels. complete body bushing kit with front core support bushing kit, new complete front clip hardware kit, all new frame and a arm hardware, z-bar frame mount. rear upper control arm to frame braces and assembly manual. I spent a total of $4100 at the parts place and have a complete break down. As far as the motor goes I have spent a total of $2590 on parts from ta performance, machine and assembly and have a complete breakdown. I have all the interior but needs recovered, top frame is excellent but needs recovered, I have the top pump and cylinders, ac components and engine brackets, I have all the stainless body trim and is in very good condition, side glass is in good condition no cracks or breaks, there is no front winshield. I spent $3000 for the car itself. And $800 for blasting and powder coating. The frame is very dusty and wiped down it has a great shine, beautiful powder coating job. It is going to be easier to list what I dont have as follows, no radiator, fan, intake, carb, distributor, motor mounts, driveline, trans, shifter, steering wheel and e brake cables. There is alot I have left out but I can provide all the breakdown of all the parts and prices upon request. I could part the car and easily get more than the opening bid reserve, I really dont want to part the car because of how solid it is and they are so hard to find like this and how hard the quality oem parts are to come by besides you finish this car look what you have for a fraction of the cost for a born as. Only difference is the vin# best of both worlds. I will take great care in getting car and parts ready for shipping to prevent damage, car body will be mounted to the frame with new body bushings.
