On December 20, 1959 Mr Joseph Perino from Bellport, New York purchased a 1960 white, 4-door, Chevy Impala for $3,255.55 Was this a Christmas present? I am selling the following paperwork regarding this '59 Christmas transaction: 1. The original order form for Jos Perino, dated December 20, 1959 for a new Chevy Impala. This document shows a trade in of a 1955 Chev Model #55-2403, 4 dr sed - It appears Mr. Perino was offered $1,155.55 for his trade-in. 2. Recieving Car invoice #7794 Dated Jan. 06, 1960, from Peter J. Grady (Chevrolet & Buick dealer) 118 Montauk Highway, West Sayville, New York to Joseph Perino, 18 North Howells Point Road, Bellport, New York one 1960 Chev., Model 1839-8, 4-Dr. Spt. Sed. White, Power Glide (New) with engine # 01839T126196, key #9179 for a total of $3255.55. On this invoice all costs are broken down beginning with the basic car price of $2842.00. 3. An evelope to Joseph Perino from the Department of Motor Vehicles, Norman E. Klipp, County Clerk of Suffolk County, Riverhead, L.I. (Long Island?), New York. Envelope is paid by meter mail .03 cent from Riverhead, New York. Envelope is in great condition. 4. A Delco Battery owner's warrenty and adjustment policy certificate. Cert states the poicy is good for 36 months of service and has Joseph Perino's address , vehicle Chevrolet Year 1960 with the date of purchase listed as Jan. 6, 1960. Policy issued by PJ Grady Inc, Dealer. 5. A computer punch card that appears to be the electronic version of the purchase in punch card data. I can only guess at this one. Whatever it is exactly maybe unknown but it is a really cool item. 6. A large Chevrolet Owner Protection Policy Book. The book is full of coupon style reminders to have service performed at different intervals.On last page the book is registered to Joseph Perino. 7. The large dealers envelope that all your paperwork fits into and stays in your glove box until the police pull you over. Envelope has beautiful picture of a woman standing near a Corvair by Chevrolet. The envelope is in great shape! All the paperwork has been well preserved, All look as if it was written out today. Very fresh. I decided to describe in words vs pictures to start with. I will however scan and email any pictures you are interested in. This is such a wonderfull peice of auto history. I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do. I'm sure a frame shop could find a way to display these items for all to appreciate.
