1999 BMW E36 M3 CONVERTIBLE needs a transmission. 0 miles on overhauled motor+ has rebuilt title (theft recovery) has MLS .070" C4329-070 head gasket and newer built head for turbo if desired ( s52b32 compression stayed the same) I have over 10,000 in labor need the money will take the loss. OBO happy 2012! >>> I replaced the full harness thinking that this could be the problem with the trans mission as the old transmission plug part of harness got damaged. I have the lower trans mission apart and am trying to rebuild the valve body part of it. The trans mission worked fine before the engine and trans was pulled from the m3 before the engine build now i think it could be the torque converter seal. I am going to pull the trans mission and check to see if the seal is even there. Then replace it plus put the valve body parts back together with new gasket and misc parts springs Etc...) In the next day or so I will keep every one posted on the progress. However if you want to buy the M3 ASIS now (inop trans) you can place your bid. I may also post some more pics of this process.
