1983 Suzuki GSX / Katana

I am a collector of the 1982 & 1983 Suzuki Katana’s , over the last 15 years I have been purchasing the nicest and lowest mileage examples of these bikes I could find. I have accumulated a lot of these motorcycles and now my final collection is complete. This Katana is one of the extras, of which I have 5, and now it’s time to let someone else enjoy them. This 1983 GS650MD Katana is a two owner bike. The original owner purchased the bike new in 1983 in Oklahoma and was sold to me upon his death in 2005. This gentleman had quite a few Katana’s and other Suzuki’s. This bike has not been rode since 1985. After it was taken off the road with 831 miles, it was stored in a shed until I purchased it. Having been stored in a shed, it accumulated some small surface rust on the frame in various spots and these will need to be addressed to make the bike perfect. Specifics: 831 Miles Tires are in good condition. Tank is original, has no dents. There is some spots on the tank which appear to be caused by fuel being dripped on it. There is surface rust in the tank that will need to be addressed. The seat is in great condition. The Exhaust has some slight surface rust spots but is undamaged. Factory mirrors are missing. Has aftermarket levers. Left case cover is missing. The upper fairing is not on the bike but is included, it will need to be painted. The wind shield for this fairing is missing. The bike has not been started since 1985, the engine turns over easily and is not seized. Included with the bike is the original invoice, owners manual, Suzuki service card, 2 factory keys. In short the bike is very nice, original and very presentable. It would only need to be painted to be perfect.
