I am selling my 1973 BMW 2002, which I have owned for 3 years. I am the fourth owner of this roundie, and have taken excellent care of it. Always garaged, inspected and washed regularly, it has been my daily driver for as long as I have owned it (I have a 9 mile commute and take the train on days of inclement weather rather than subjecting the BMW to rain / snow). It breaks my heart to sell it, but its time for another person to enjoy it as much as I have (I flirted with selling it last summer, had it on eBay, and then pulled it off). The car is in excellent condition, inside and out. I am not a car expert, but will try to highlight both the good and bad of this vehicle to the best of my ability below: 4 speed manual transmission. This car started as an automatic and was switched to the much more desirable 4 speed manual by Sports Car Restoration in CT. They are BMW 2002 experts and did an amazing job It is currently painted Atlantic Blue, but started out as red/orange back in 1973. Great paint job, nice and shinyI can not get the radio to work. It has power, and worked fine until I hit a button and now I can't figure out how to work it. I am sure someone with electronic skills can fix it in a minuteThere are 130,318 miles on it. I am the 4th owner of the car and it has always been garaged. I don't even like driving it in the rainThe interior is in awesome shape, especially all the carpets, which were redone in the past 5 years. There is an area on the drivers seat where the padding is coming though. You can see it in the photo The back seat has shoulder belts, which is very rareThe car has a sunroof, which is also very rare, but the handle to open it lost its pin. Just needs a new pin and it is all set to work again The passenger mirror glass fell out. I believe I still have the glass though. Just needs the plastic housing and its as good as new There is a rust bubble on the area directly behind the sun roof. It is small, and only on the surface. Other than that, and a small bubble on the other side of the roof, I don't see any rust on the car This really is such a fun car to drive. I get stopped by someone just about every time I drive it for comments on how great it looks or offers to buy it. Winner must pick up the car or arrange for delivery. Non-refundable deposit of 1/3 of the selling price required at auction close. I reserve the right to end the auction early and sell the car privately. Please ask as many questions as you like.
