I have a mild street built 79 Monte383ci/ 400 Turbo trans w/ B&m Shift Kit Installed,w ratchet on the floor for sale. It has a Street Modified title The Condition Is a 7 out of 10 and only because : 1,) there is no carpet, backseat ( I have the part you sit on just not the back part), headliner or radio installed in the car. 2.)The gauges are abit dim and the fuel needle jumps around all the time, Also the clock is stuck at 5oclock. Heater works but only on high. 3.) The paint is newer and looks great on 98% of the car just on the back passenger side theres an area that looks hazy... maybe it needs a wetsand and buff?? Still looks great it just looks like theres some leftover wax on that part i just described. Now for the good++++ NO RESERVE NO RESERVE FRAME OFF BABY RESTORATION<< That means, NO RUST, damage or dings, also NO BONDO. NO leaks, noises, drips or shakes from the motor. Spins like a top. Trans is smooth as silk, nice balance of power transfer no matter if you baby it or put the pedal to the metal(which i dont advise) it drives rock solid, a true surprise for me when i first drove it. Older Aftermarked gauges installed -- Temp, Oil Press, Volts, RPM Mini hood scoop and rear spoiler to give it a not so ordinary MC look. Coated Hooker headers running to true duals, sounds REAL nice, NOT at all sloppy All electronics work. All fresh ligt bulbs replaced at once. TILT Steering in totally redone nice and tight all the way down with new bearings and bushings. Ignition system has been rebuilt from the keys to the spark plugs and everything in between to make it jump when that key gets cranked New fuel lines, filter and pump. Brakes where serviced this summer thru and thru ( disk/drums) 4core radiator, new hoses and belts last year spring ProLocker Posi rear end Crager SS rims with nice tires This is an all around great RELIABLE --XTRA FAST cruiser/90% completed project Doesnt need much and its clean as can be at that. This is the last year that it looks good with one piece headlights, in 80 they upgraded to the euro look and had 4 headlights. Not a smooth move if you ask me. 1979 was the last of the Mohicans. Alot of work has been put into this car to make it like it is now. It is a true survivor that has more class now than ever before.
