I bought this 1964 Comet in 1996 from my brother inlaw, car was placed in barn in 1983 last registerd in Georgia. Car was 100% complete and red exterior. I drove it originally as is, motor smoked a little, had factory 4 speed but only 3 speed tranny.In 2000 had engine pulled sent to jasper 100% refreshed, had all new mechanicals everything new over $6,000.00. Then car sat for 9yrs less than 500 miles where put on car, finally end of summer 2010 car was taken apart and color was changed to black exterior. all chrome is straight and ding free a little hazzey but cleaned up nice with some compound, bumpers are mint but need to be rechromed. You will not find a car straighter than this one. Brand new magnum 500 wheels. The interior chrome was pitted pretty bad so there was a little custom work done, new seat covers,headliner, door panels, carpets all new seals and gasgets around windows and doors. I still have original interior parts, could use new instrument panel. This car is a driver i would drive it anywhere, I put close to 1000 miles summer 2011 you do not see these cars around. I got more thumbs up and compliments than I exspected, car sounds like a big engine but is only a 260 V8 all together i have over $14,000.00 invested.
