1968 Mercury Montego MX. This car is ROCK solid and needs to go to a good home. My buddy bought this car from E-bay a few years ago with big plans, but he lost ambition. Car is from North Carolina, where he picked it up, and has been sitting in a garage every since. There is so little rust on this car, I'm sickened to let it go, but I don't have the time or money to build it to potential. Previous owner planned to build a drag car. He stripped it and welded a big block crossmember into it, so as it sits it will take a small or big block. Has a C6 with it, and a bellhousing for a big block. Has 9 inch rearend with driveshaft. Missing windshield glass, front seats, gay vinyl top, and engine components. Most of the trim parts, and some extra parts are in totes, which come with the car. Grille, lights, linkages, windows etc. Oh one thing I must mention, front bumper isn't quite straight, it will need some adjusting. I do not have the title, I have the bill of sale from North Carolina, which is plenty enough, even for NY lol. I really hate to see this car go, but I don't want to see it go through a winter here in NY. No disappointments with this car, and I won't be heartbroken if it doesn't go. Mounted the fenders on properly, installed the door handles, front suspension, dashboard, steering wheel, back seat, both bumpers, carpet, and interior panels. Also have to add that my buddy installed a new gas tank & sending unit.
