This listing is for a retro looking 1972 Cadillac Sedan Deville, 4 door hardtop. The car is a ONE owner for almost 30 years. The car that was owned by a doctor in Beckley WV. We just took the car off of his hands to sell it for him. He is an older fellow who doesn't do much work on the internet. The car has 70,000 actual miles, factory air, power windows, key buzzer and it appears that all of the courtesy lights work. The car could use a paint job, and vinyl top and possibly some body work depending on how nice you want it. The vinyl top has been removed and black paint applied to the roof to prevent rusting until it can be replaced or restored. The unmolested car is still in it's original yellow , interior is green leather. The car sat for 25 years on asphalt covered with a blue tarp for YEARS. It has not been started much lately. It will start and run but the air/smog pump is locked up, so the v-belt system was removed until that is fixed. However, you can start it to hear it run, you just cant run it for long because it will heat up. Original spare is still in the trunk. It had green vinyl top but has been removed due to deterioration . Still has the fender skirts and I believe all the chrome is there. This is an excellent project car! clear title The car is located at my dads house in Beckley, WV. From what I've seen, the engine is a 472, and from what I've been told, it is the original numbers matching engine and has never been removed. I am relisting this car due to a non-paying bidder. I will say this as a follow up. I require a $200 deposit via PAYPAL within the first 48 hours after the auction ends. This is a non-negotiable "good faith" payment to show me that you are a serious buyer who respects the ebay system. The only way I will excuse this is if you pick the car up within the 48 hour period. I do not want to hear excuses. Please do not bid if you do not have the cash RIGHT NOW, or if you have to "talk to your wife" or if you want to make payments. We have bills too... So we need this car out of the way, and we need the cash. If you don't want to deal with PAYPAL then, be prepared to pick it up immediately. Should you NOT follow through with the sale. I will pursue a case through ebay to place a mark on your ebay account. The last time this happened, the ebay user who failed to comply lost access to their ebay account. The ONLY way I will not pursue action is if you pay my final value fee and relist fee. The air pump is also known as a smog pump. Many people got rid of them completely, but we didnt mess with it since the car is close to original. We figured someone might want to replace or repair it if they were restoring it. Since we haven't driven the car, that is all we know that is wrong with it. You are getting a $1500 car, so bid accordingly. If you bypassed the smog pump and replaced the belts with a shorter belt, I suppose the car would run good. It will start and run as/is but you cannot run it long without the belt system. And the brakes work. But I wouldnt attempt a 3 hour drive in a car that hasnt run consistently in 20-30 years. I hate to sound negative, but I am an honest guy, and I dont want to oversell something that I've never driven There is a Cadillac 472 engine... However, if you were looking to put a big block in your street rod, you could buy this car. Yank the engine and resell the rolling body alone to recoup your investment.
