Vehicle Detail
1962 MERCEDES BENZ 190SL 3rd Seat Convertible I purchased this stunning classic Mercedes in 1983. I have stored it in a controlled environment for 28 years in Georgia and driven this gem only occasionally since my original acquisition. When I purchased this vehicle in '83, I was told that it had a rebuilt engine with 3,000 miles on the rebuild. Actual mileage of the vehicle is unknown - the odometer reads 5,271. Body is in MINT condition and turns heads anywhere and everywhere the car is seen. The interior is in GOOD condition and appears to be original to the vehicle. The original color of the car from what I have been told by fellow e-bay collectors would have been pearl white as that is the color of the dash interior and this does not match the cherry-red body paint as both would be a match coming from the factory in 1962. While unaware of this, I made this purchase simply because I loved the vehicle and do to this day. For the serious collector, making the match would be an easy task. Entering retirement in the last few years, I have decided the time has come for me to part with my beauty. All Interior Gauges are 100% operational. The car handles extremely well on the road as you would expect of any Mercedes. With the exception of the two items below, all aspects of this vehicle are in perfect working order. The Original Becker radio is currently non-operational. I am unsure if this is an electrical or mechanical issue. The Heater & Blower are non operational, again, I am unsure if this is an electrical or mechanical issue. This is a true classic collectors vehicle that requires very little restoration to reach MINT condition. Please contact me without delay for any additional questions you may have. Thanks For Looking!
