For sale: A 1955 Ford Thunderbird. 53487 original miles. My dad owned this car since 1971. It has been garage kept the entire time. He was in the process of restoring his car when he passed away in July of this year. He had the motor and transmission completely rebuilt this year. The car was taken apart and has all of the original equipment for this car and he was about to begin reassemble. The body interior and undercarriage has been coated. The outside of the car has also been primed and the outside body work has been completed. He also had the electrical wiring updated to 12v from the original 6v system. He has several new parts he ordered such as the interior carpet and insulation. I have laid everything out and taken photos. He was in the process of getting the convertible soft replaced; however, I picked it up from the company who was going to complete the work since I am selling the car. He does not have a hard top. All bolts and small parts are accounted for. He last ran the engine this summer once he had the motor and transmission put back in the car. I hate to sell it but there is no place for me to keep it and I don't have the time to restore it. The car is housed in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The title is clear and in our possession. I am hoping that it will be purchased by someone who will restore it and take good care of it.
