Vehicle Detail

1968 Pontiac Gran Prix 428 4 Speed Project, Hood Tach Air cond. all are factory options. This is a very rare old car. it even has the 8-lug wheels. Car is white with black interior. Factory Bucket seats & console. It came with a half vinyl roof which was taken off years ago when car was repainted. The car was original white and repainted twice, once blue and a very cheap bake on enamel job years ago. Floors trunk and frame are very solid. It has some filler around lower quarters and the rear part of trunk gutter, and the rubber needs replaced. Interior is very decent except Drivers seat, it needs repaired. This car has belonged to a neighbor for almost 30 years, he said it has been a blast for him for lots of years, but finally quit driving it when brakes went down and it has been sitting around for a few years, but was cranked and moved every summer, but it got neglected.. He was not a mechanic, but said engine was rebuilt several years ago because valve guides were bad and later model heads were installed. That's all I know. This has got to be one of the rarest Big Body GM cars around, but I am not trying to sell a number matching car, it may be but I know heads are not 68 model. I'm not trying to get a Big price so please don't have me crawling around and checking numbers and so on, I don't see well anymore. SO BUY AS IS...AS A PROJECT...AC compressor was removed, but I have replacement. Engine cranks right up and sounds good except for manifold leaks on passengers side. Did not smoke or knock. Good oil pressure, 4-speed goes in all gears, clutch seems good but I have trouble getting into reverse. I had a guy that messes with a lot of 4-speeds said linkage needed adjusting.. Neighbors grand kids had been playing with shifter. I will try to get it adjusted but please do not hold me to it.. I don't have a lift. Brake master cylinder will also need to be replaced before it can be driven.. I bought a new one bit do not have time to install. Even though this car is Very Rare, It's still just an old car that is a project, Please don't bid if you are nit picky about every little thing, because there are some people out there that cannot be pleased and this is not worth my time. Please call me to avoid any misunderstandings. I have the Cowl tag numbers and they read: 11E093ST 68-26657 DT02879 Body583 C2 PaintLast eight of vin # 266578R1All Glass is Good but windshield is cracked, That's about all I know, described the car the best I could, Please call I am not around the computer much to answer e-mail. 601-473-9278 Danny.Must be paid in full 7-Days end of auction, no exceptions. Certified bank check or cash in person. Check must clear my bank before car cam be removed. I do have Clear Mississippi Title " Original" I will need $300.00 American Dollars immediately at end of Auction. Or within 48 hours, as it will end on Christmas Day. Just let me know something when you win, I hate sitting around not knowing if High bidder even knows he has won the auction.
