Vehicle Detail

1985 Mustang GT 114,000 original miles Adult Owned Here is my babied Oxford White 1985 Mustang GT 5.0L 5Spd. with PW, PL, CC and A/C (all working). I am the third owner and this was originally a California Car and is rust free. I primarily drove this car summers only and put over 12,000 miles on it this last summer. Car runs and drives excellent, I just drove it 750 miles in the middles of the night to visit my parents and it performed flawlessly. I have never had any issues with this car, mechanically or otherwise. I have extensively upgraded the car to more modern specifications i.e. brakes, exhaust, suspension, differential, rims, tires, fuel system, cooling system and more. Everything works but the low windshield washer fluid indicator!I have over $10,000 invested in this car (just in parts), so trust me you’re getting a helluva deal! Please Check my break Down out below and my FAQ before you send me any Questions, Please! Here is a breakdown of the car and the condition of its individual components. All non-stock replacement parts (possibly listed as NEW) were installed at 102,200 Miles and have roughly 12,000 miles on them.) Engine 5.0l 302 ci original hydraulic roller cam engine. No internal modifications and original to the car. Autolite Platinum plugs installed and gapped to .044 and timing is set to 12 BTDC. Still rocking the stock ignition and an MSD cap/rotor with oem style wires Burns no oil/uses no oil; I change it ever 3500 miles with Ford Semi-Synthetic 10w30 Transmission Original Clutch still holding strong and solid Shifts Smooth (for a World class 5spd) and makes no noise and works perfectly like it should New Polyurethane transmission mount bushing installed. Oil replaced with Royal Purple Synthetic Pro 5.0 Tower of Power installed with Hurst shift lever and knob. New gasket and boot to the body to prevent noise and smells. Exterior of the Car Car looks great in person and really only shows its age when you get on top of it. The majority of the car is all original Paint; the window trim was repainted by the previous when he had the Cervini hood installed. The Cervini Hood looks good but doesn’t 100% match the color on the rest of the car, and the color match to the front fenders throws them off color a little bit. The paint is wearing thin anywhere on the leading edge of sharp body lines, Car has door dings, rock chips, and other misc. very minor body issues. No wrecks or any other major issues, car drives straight as an arrow, I can nail the gas with my hands off the wheel and then slam on the brakes and it goes perfectly straight. Car looks more like the condition of a 7 year old car rather than a 26 year old. Windshield has a few chips (filled) and is original. Exterior headlights are Sylvania Performance Halogens, and since I installed the new 130 amp alternator they really work a Helluvalot better than with the stock charging system. Marchal fog lights with the black cats on the glass and stock Ford Black fog light covers included. Interior Interior is very original the driver seat has a small tear from wear on the LH outer seat bun and on the LH outer seat back. Also small slice on back, mostly not visible except to rear passengers. Stock OEM style seat covers are easily sourced from most if not all the major fox parts houses. Both front seatbelts have chafing wear the seatbelt sits in the plastic, when retracted. The rear upright seat latch bezel on the back of the rear seats are cracked and broken but not normally visible and doesnt affect function. Overall the rest of the interior is nice and freshly cleaned. Headliner has been replaced and installed on stock roof cardboard. AM/FM Cassette Ford will give my monster Cassette to IPod adapter with car. All Speakers replaced with new kicker OEM size/style. New Shifter Boot installed. Saleen style driver side relief pedal installed. Most of the lights in the dash in places that typically suffer light bulb heat damage were replaced by low/temp LED bulbs and appear stock but radiate less heat. Dash Pad is original and looks good but has some darker discoloration, not really noticeable. Fuel System Carburetor (included) replaced with FAST EZ-EFI throttle body fuel injection capable of supporting up to 550hp, fully programmable (included programmer) and auto learns. 87-93 new fuel tank (galvanized) and new fuel pump. New 87-93 fuel tank level sending unit with the circuit board swapped from a new 85’ mustang unit to indicate the correct fuel level. Cooling System Coolant is fresh and set to be freeze free to -10 CFR performance 3” aluminum radiator with 87-93 modern catch can. Ford high performance water pump. All cooling system hoses replaced (ALL!) Electric high flow fan installed inside 87-93 radiator shroud and controlled by FAST EZ-EFI ECU to regulate temps. All electronics (relays) installed in old 85 radiator overflow can (hidden). Electrical system Stock Autolite style Battery PA Performance 130 amp alternator with PA controller to indicate correctly on the instrument cluster. Dedicated high amperage fused wire from alternator to battery 87-93 Mini/high torque starter Exhaust Stock Header 87-93 Complete header back Magnaflow stainless 2.5” exhaust and catalytic convertor X pipe. Brakes All brakes work EXCELLENT and stop immensely better than stock and are similar to what comes stock on a new mustang GT without ABS and with Fox style Hydraulics. 4 wheel disc brakes installed Front brakes were new 2 piston cobra (2004 ford) calipers new 13 inch rotors with new pads and new brake lines. Front brakes were installed on SN95 spindles with NEW bearings Rear Brakes are Stock new style (FORD) mustang Calipers, pads and rotors with all new soft brake lines. North Race Cars bracket is installed so the rear tires have the same track as stock (other setups they would stick out and contribute to adverse handling characteristics) Remanufactured 1993 Cobra Brake Booster Custom Manufactured new 4 wheel disc brake master cylinder. Gutted stock proportioning valve with new Ford Performance adjustable rear proportioning valve. Wheels & Tires Best Street Tires I have ever had on a Fox BTW!! 17” stock dimension Anthracite Bullitt style Rims from Discount Tires with 245/45/17 Eagle GT Mud and Snow High performance Tires. Rear Differential The cheapo 7” rear was replaced with an 8.8” 87 Mustang GT rear with new Yukon Axles, Professionally Rebuilt, ford friction modifier and royal purple dif. Oil, Gear Ratio is the Stock 3.08 Suspension Stock Springs and still sits at stock Height! Stock Sway Bars New Sway Bar Bushings in front with new link bolts and spacers New Sensa-Trac front struts with Maximum Motorsports caster camber adjustment plates to adjust properly for the SN95 Spindles. New Sensa-Trac Load leveler rear Shocks, Best damn shocks for a street stang (the rear end stays planted great and doesn’t droop as much) Rear Control arms swapped for newer 87 style, they are thicker metal than stock 85. Full Bolt in Subframe Connectors. (not welded in but can be) These also support the back bolts for the Front seats. Heating Cooling and A/C Stock R12 A/c system still blows cold and holds the charge! Heating system has all new hoses and the heater core was replaced with a new ready-aire unit. Things That Just don’t work or need Work! Windshield washer level low indicator doesn’t work; they almost always are broken on fox’s. There are blemishes inside and outside the car, its not perfect its a 26 year old used car. FAQ Q: Will this mustang make it XXXXX amount of miles? A: I don’t know how you drive or if you’re planning to recreate a Smokey and the bandit movie… But I wouldn’t hesitate to jump in it and drive across country with my five year old son sitting next to me, and I have done that twice this summer (over 2000 miles)! Q: Why did you modify this poor mustang? A: The brakes and performance of the stock carburetor left something to be desired, Okay A LOT.. I wanted to be able to drive the car anywhere and feel completely comfortable. Q: Why are you selling this Beautiful mustang? A: I am 33 years old, recently divorced and going back to school to get my graduate degree. I am not working as a result and can’t justify paying over $150 a month for storage, insurance, and properly maintaining a car in an environment that goes from -20 to 115 degrees in the course of a normal year. Q: Will you pick me up at the airport? A: Which Airport? I can only pick you up at the Beaumont TX. Airport or the Lake Charles, La. Airport and not after January 7th and not until the vehicle is paid for in full. Q: Will you accept Trades? A: NO! Q: Is the Car fast? A: Yes but I really don’t get on it or beat it up and it has never been to a track, I bought it as a classic daily driver not as a track car. Q: What kind of mileage do you get? A: I see mileage between 17-25 depending on road conditions and where I am driving city/highway/hills etc.. Q: Will you take my Wife, child, dog, cat or XXXXX in trade? A: Thanks for the offer but I don’t want another wife, and I’m still trying to get my dog back, I’m allergic to cats and I get all the XXX I want on the internet….. Once Again NO TRADES! Q: Do you have a clean and clear title? A: I have a clean and clear title from the state of Missouri (its at my parents house in orange, Tx. 77632 and thats where it wll be picked up at) in my name and in my hand. Q: What forms of payment do you accept? A: Cash, PayPal transfer (after it has transferred to my bank), and cashier’s check that we can take immediately to the bank and cash. Q: Why do you require a deposit? A: Since my first vehicle sale on eBay in 1999 I have found that people are flaky and are more likely to follow through with a deal if they have something to lose. Q: Who put all the work into this mustang? A: I did all the work except for mounting the tires, I have multiple mechanic certificates and was an Aviation mechanic for over 10 years, I can answer any and all questions about the car. Q: I still have a ton of questions! A: Shoot me an email and I’ll give you my Cel. Number and we can chat!
