Vehicle Detail
This is a red 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo sedan with an automatic transmission. I've had it for a little over a year, and I do not have maintenance records from before I owned it, but I've been getting it all its regular oil changes and I just put almost $3500 in repairs into it in June. Those are listed at the end of this description. PERFORMANCE:The car accelerates cleanly and brakes well without pulling to either side in either case. Steering is tight, suspension is smooth, and it has plenty of power for quick passing on a dotted yellow or driving up over the passes. The traction control still works, ABS still works, disc brakes on all four wheels, VERY bright headlights in high beam mode (which is nice on back roads), and I've gotten about 22 mpg in the city and 27-29 on long highway trips. I've always liked the way it drove. INTERIOR:The interior is leather, though it's cracked a bit. It is 16 years old after all. The heat is very powerful, which has been nice recently, and the stereo is really good, though the actual radio is a little shaky. I've been using an iPod on a cassette adapter and the sound quality is incredible. The A/C doesn't work, and I don't think the seat heaters work either, though I'm not certain. Other than that, the electronics are in good shape. REPAIRS:Other than oil changes, here's what I've put into the car:Higher-grade windshield wipers - $50.00Battery - $112.00Strut top caps - $332.46Front sway bar link - $128.55Left control arm - $350.02Radiator - $623.09Turbo return seal - $73.66Oil cooler lines - $597.41120K-mile maintenance - $720.70Air filterFuel filterIgnition wiresSpark plugsDistributor capDistributor rotorRoll-over hoseIntercooler hoseAlignment - $84.99Replaced positive cable/wiring harness - $242.27 If you have any other questions, let me know.
