Hi welcome to my auction! You are bidding on a NO RESERVE AUCTION! This is a very fine example of a garage kept southern California car. I set up this auction to end on the 25th of December so some lucky bidder will treat themselves or another to this classic Bimmer! It's been an absolute thrill to own and drive but having 5 (4 bmw's) cars and getting back into college I will need to downsize the lot. My first few attempts on here had let me think it's a bad time of year to sell or buy at that matter and I agree. It's either this or the car gets put up in a garage for 6 months when my work slows down and school year finishes. No more excuses it's going to hopefuly go to another BMW enthusiast or collector. You're bidding on a 1980 BMW 320i. This isn't the standard 320 you are used to... It has meticulous dealer service at one dealer in which the car was purchased from BMW of Santa Maria. When the original owner (a highly commended architect) wanted to put some more juice in the car he bought a turbo kit through the dealer and had them install it. This kit was the famous "century" kit which contained the polished century intake manifold, large intake charge pipes, map sensor, BAE exhaust manifold, rajay wastegate, and rajay #'s matching turbo. The company only sold 1500 kits in total and this is one of the last ones I've seen without heavy modification or alteration. My story is I'm the 3rd owner, first owner loved her took great care and commuted her up into the 90,000 mile range... The 2nd owner aqquired it in 1990 and was a dear friend to owner #1. He took good cAre and drove it another 35,000 miles in his 19 years of ownership always had it in the garage. I, the 3rd owner purchased it from him and made sure everything was operable and planned to keep it for life. The cosmetics were excellent I didn't need to do much, I paid the pro's to go inside and out to make this thing spotless and look like new. One thing that I did notice and confirmed with the 2nd owner was that the righthand rear corner had been scratched and damaged as the car rolled from the driveway into the street hiting a trailer and coming to rest. He had the body repaired and you cant tell unless you really take a close look at what actually was resprayed. They did a paint blend and touched up which looked pretty good. The mechanical condition was okay but needed all new hoses, belts, seals , plugs, wires caps rotor, vac lines, t stat, valves adjusted, new battery, filters, intank fuel pump. So it was all replaced with Oem equipment from my local dealer. It still could use shocks all corners, I planned on this but didn't have time. Tires are good about half tread life left, tires for this wheel are cheap! All the wheel bearings feel solid . The control arm bushings are fatigued in the front, so when doing the shocks may as well press new bushings in! Only aspect of drivability that bothers me is that possibly the shift linkage could use an adjustment but I have no problem driving it soft and not slamming the gearbox like there's no tomorrow.
