Vehicle Detail

1960 R50 In running condition. Starts and runs good, although it does sputter a little at high RPMs, probably needs timing or carbs adjusted a bit. Transmission shifts good through all gears. All of the following has been replaced within the last two years: tail light wiring harness, turn signal switch wiring harness, handlebars, plug wires, spark plugs, fuel lines, chrome air intake tubes, clamps & rubber boots for air intake tubes, carbs completely rebuilt by the Bing Agency, silent block for seat, rear fender hinge pin, hand grips, foot peg rubbers, shifter pedal rubber, tires & tubes (Bridgestones), transmission to drive shaft boot & clamps and kick start rubber bumper. The inside of the tank is in good condition, the body work is all straight except for one small ding in the front fender and a dent in the gas tank (see photos for tank dent)and both original valve covers are in great shape. It also has very nice high lip aluminum rims with no dents or major damage to them. Now for the bad: It does have a dent in the tank, the air pump mounting brackets have been cut off of the frame and there is no air pump with the bike. There is no battery and the center stand needs work as it over extends when parked. There are common dents on the lower frame rail where a after market side side has been bolted on in the past and the mount for the factory side stand has a old pivot bolt broke off in it and there is no side stand. Both tank badges are chipped up the spokes are rusty, although not pitted and should be safe for a daily rider (see photo), and both adjusting levers on the rear shocks are broke off (again, see photo). Also, this being a early R50 the bike does not have sidecar mounts on it. This appears to be original as there are no signs of any mounts ever being on the bike. I have a clear Kentucky Title in my name. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions or need additional photos, just contact me. The bike is located in Nicholasville, Kentucky, which is near Lexington.
