Vehicle Detail
This 75 Malibu wagon is a time capsule. It is mostly unmolested, original paint, and interior. It is fairly loaded for it's day with tilt wheel, a/c and cruise control. All components are there. The car needs a few items to make it roadworthy again. New fuel lines, the originals are cracked and leaking, the transmission needs to be flushed due the radiator collapsing around the trans cooler, and coolant getting into the transmission. A new radiator. Most of these items are available on Ebay and total cost would be less than $ 500.00. Then you can drive this car and restore while having some fun as well. The interior is original and has some tears, but can be repaired to keep it original. The wheels alone are worth $350.00. The am radio works. Car is all there, chrome is great shape. I have lost my job and can not continue working on her. The body has surface rust as you can see in the photos. As you can see it can be sanded down and primed ready for paint. There is minimal rust issues at the bottom of the doors, typical for this car, but are easely repairable. There is also a dent in the tailgate again not too hard to repair. If you want a car that will get a lot of attention with out a lot of money then this car is for you. When was the last time you saw one of these? There were not a lot of these made, so it is a classic in it's own right. BTW the engine does run great. All you need to do is repair the fuel line and it starts right up! The mileage shows 47K but I believe it to be 147K. Remember this is a CA car so not much rust! The car was sitting since 1999, but started up easily. A non-refundable $150.00 deposit is required upon completion of the auction. Please help save cars like these, they are reminders of a simpler time and family togetherness.
