You are bidding on a 1988 4X4 four-door JEEP CHEROKEE PIONEER with AUTOMATIC transmission, 4.0 litre engine. The motor runs fine, no problems with the transmission, 4WD is excellent, never plowed or damaged. It runs nicely for a car of this age and has been well and regularly maintained throughout its lifetime. I am the second owner, having acquired it from a friend who also took excellent care of it. I had the car professionally repainted in 2007 in its original color, white. There is no body rust except around the rear passenger door handle, as pictured. There are no holes ore dents in the body but the rear bumper has a crack (pictured.) The front bumper is excellent, however. The car has a new exhaust. There is a trailer hitch with the electrical wiring in good working order. My mechanic recommends repairing the rear main seal as the car does leak oil and goes through about a quart every 300 miles. This is a one-driver, non-smoker vehicle. The car passed Massachusetts State inspection in September 2011 with flying colors. There is still a lot of life left in this car. SOLD AS IS. NO WARRANTEE.
