The Mach 1 was the performance sport version of the Mustang, first produced in 1969 with production continuing until 1979. In 1972, a total of 27,675 Mach 1 Mustangs were produced. Since the Mustang had undergone a major restyling in 1971, the 1972 models saw no big styling changes, only minor cosmetic ones.
The Mach 1 with the fastback "Sports Roof" body has several visual and performance enhancing items such as hood scoops, hood pins, dealer optional chin and rear deck spoilers.
Our beautiful blue 1972 Mach 1 has a ram air induction hood, factory air conditioning, power disc brakes, flow master mufflers, Edelbrock carburetor and headers. The prior owner says he invested thousands in rebuilding the 351 Cleveland.
We acquired this car in 2007. It is running well but needs cosmetic restoration such as:
Driver’s seat does not lock in position
Vinyl on the driver’s seat is split
Vinyl on arm rest passenger door is split
Rear seat belts missing

Our cars are not driven regularly but are repositioned on our lot as needed. They are stored battery out, with fuel stabilizer. Our cars start, run and drive, unless noted otherwise. This does not mean they are ready for long trips. We recommend a full mechanical inspection before taking them on the road.
