For sale we have a RARE 1 TON 2006 CHEVROLET EXPRESS G3500 featuring the 6.6L Duramax Turbo DIESEL (360 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque) with the Allison Transmission. The best combination ever to have in a van! The van starts right up and runs excellent. Plenty of power to move this van around under a full load and tow the largest trailers with ease. The automatic transmission shifts perfect with no delays. The van has plenty of cargo space and it has some nice shelves perfect for work. The tires are very good with plenty of tread left on them. The outside body is clean however being a work van it does have scratches and a few dents on the passenger's side rear along with a few touch ups, again it is a work van. The inside is clean. the a/c is cold. The heat is warm. This van amazed me the way it runs, it has a lot of torque and power and it drive's straight down the road with no pulls or shakes or rattles. It drives very smoothly. The brakes are nice and firm with no pulsation. With 189-K miles this motor hasn't even broken in yet so don't let his miles fool you! THIS VAN IS INDEED DURAMAX DIESEL 6.6l however these vans are not equipped with the Allison transmission. Duramax powered full-size vans: Engine options for the 2006 model year G2500 & G3500 series cargo and cutaway GMC Savana (and equivalent Chevy models) now include the Duramax 6600 turbocharged V-8 diesel engine, but with a 250 horsepower and 460 lb-ft torque rating. This engine is coupled to a 4L85-E Hydra-Matic 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission specially tuned and calibrated for this application. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
