Vehicle Detail
1970 GMC Shortbed Stepside Original Southwest Va Truck. Primed and almost ready for paint. Engine is a 350 Small Block Chevrolet with power steering, runs excellent. Transmission is a Th350 automatic. All Factory Gauges work, Uncut dash. The gas tank has been relocated to the rear with a new tank. Have almost all receipts to all of these parts, also have the original owners manual and other paperwork from the original owner. The Following New Parts Installed: Holley 650 CFM CarbPro Comp Polished Intake ManifoldMSD Ignition Cap and RotorSpark Plugs and WiresFlowtech Long Tube HeadersCherry Bomb GlasspacksAlternatorNew Belts StarterNew Gas Tank Battery, Battery CablesAluminum RadiatorTransmission Pan (not installed)New Transmission and Engine Oil Dipsticks New Heater, Power Steering HosesNew Heater Core The Body is in excellent shape to be 41 years old. The body is Primed and ready and only has a few minor areas of surface rust. There is a small dent in the corner of the driver side door, which I belive could be popped out. There is only two spots of rust that need to be repaired, which i took pictures of. The original gas filler hole in the cab needs to be patched, but I already have the patch for it. The gas filler is now in the drivers side rear fender. Rockers and Cab Corners have been replaced. The steps on the bed have a gravel coating sprayed on them ready for paint. The inside of the bed itself has roll-on bed liner in it, the floor has been replaced with 3/4 inch plywood. Have two tail gates, a GMC stamped one and an un-stamped one. The tailgate is the thing that would require the most work of the truck, but the unstamped one isn't in as bad of shape. Side markers have been frenched into the body. I have the paint to finish the truck as well. It is Single Stage Urethane with the hardener, reducer. The paint color is Candy Apple Red Metallic, not an actual candy color though. New Bumpers front and rearNew Side markers and Tail LightsNew Door Handles All New EmblemsNew Taillights and Side markers New Cargo LightNew Tailgate ChainsNew Sliding Back Window New Cab Mounts The Interior Has Been Completely Redone with The following parts: 2002 Silverado Seats in excellent condition New CarpetNew Dash PadNew Dome LightNew Classic Grant Steering WheelNew Door WeatherstripPainted Flat Black This truck lacks very little to be an excellent daily driver. The only thing that it really lacks is a fresh coat of paint, the exhaust finished, could use some brake work. Carb could be tuned as well, the idle is a little rough but it runs fine as is. Engine doesn't smoke, but there is a transmission hose that needs replaced due to a small leak, its a simple fix, the transmission pan gasket is also leaking a small bit as well, I recently replace this gasket but I don't think that it sealed properly, its an easy fix as well. The engine could use a new oil pan drain plug as well. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. Truck is located in Gate City Va about 30 miles west of Bristol Va. Vehicle is sold As Is, No Warranties.
