Vehicle Detail
For auction is a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado LS 1500 four wheel drive short box pickup. I am the original owner, and bought the truck new on 5/21/2001 from H&H Chevrolet in Omaha, Nebraska. The truck has 49,814 original miles when I listed it. Comes with a clear title, no salvage. The color of the truck is Forest Green Metallic, the inside color is Dark Graphite Cloth. I have always kept the truck in the garage, when not being driven since I have owned it, and since I mostly worked 3rd shift, when the truck did sit out, it was always at night. The paint is in excellent shiny condition, no fading, what so ever, and the truck has no rust at all. It was undercoated, and rustproofed when it was new at Ziebart. The engine is a 5.3 litre V8 ( 325 c.i. ) runs strong, and smooth, doesn't smoke, or use any oil, and no leaks. The oil was changed every 3,000 miles, with Quakerstate 10W-30 since new. This truck has been driven by me ( adult driver ) never abused. The truck is solid, and tight, with no major squeaks or rattles. It was really never used as a truck, and other than a few sheets of drywall, and a couple sheets of plywood, the only other things I have put in the back are groceries, the bedliner which was put in when the truck was new, still looks new. There is no hitch, ( ball ) and the truck has never pulled anything, and also has never been smoked in. It does have the typical few dings ( very few ) and some minor pitting on the front ( hardly noticeable, but it's there ) otherwise the truck looks almost new, also no cracks in the dash, now for the bad: while the truck was sitting parked, a lady backed into the side of the truck where the gas filler door is, and her spare tire mounted on the back hit the truck, since it damaged the form line on the box, a brand new genuine GM box side was proffesionally put on by H&H Chevrolet, where I had originally bought the truck, other than that incident, the truck has never been in an accident. The cruise control stopped working a few years ago, I checked the fuse, and it did not look blown, the gas guage works fine, and then sometimes it doesn't work at all, the headlights work fine when the tilt wheel is up, but stop working when the tilt wheel is down ( not always consistant though ) I was told that it might be the dimmer switch in the steering column. The transmission shifts like it should unless the temperature outside reaches 10 degrees or colder, it will shift from 1st to 2nd, but not into the rest of the gears untill the transmission warms up, then shifts fine, it has done this since new. There is also a light rattle in the steering column, but only does so when turning left, or right, when on bumps in the road, ( I have been told that this is common for this year of truck ). The interior is like new, as I have always kept the seats covered, there is a stain on the drivers side floor ( see picture ) I believe that it is salt that I used on the driveway when icy, that bleached the carpet. I have tried to think of everything I can about the truck, and to be honest about the few things that are wrong with it, otherwise it looks and drives almost new, and has been very well taken care of, it runs like new, and is very quiet when running. The mileage will be a little more than what is stated, as I am still driving the truck. I am selling the truck due to being laid off, and am selling it as is. I would be more than happy to pick up out of town buyer at the airport, as for shipping, buyer would have to arrange the shipping if out of town. I also have more pictures of the truck if interested. Payment can be made in cash/ in person, or bank to bank transfer. 500.00 deposit through paypal within 48 hours of auctions end. I will not release the truck untill paid in full.
