Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION - STARTING PRICE TO SELL I am the original owner and I hoped to fully restore this car but my current situation will not permit this and I have lost my garage parking for it. A collector car of this caliber should have a garage available and a new owner that has the time to devote to it. I ordered this Grand National new from the factory in 1987 and it was delivered to my local Kentucky Buick dealer early that year. It is now 25 years old and has been the best car I have ever owned. It has always been garage kept and I always replaced needed parts with factory originals. This car was my daily driver for fifteen years, from 1987 until 2001. In the last ten years since 2002, it has been my second vehicle and is always driven several times per month. It has never been raced or modified. The only options originally ordered were T-Tops, power windows and it currently has a Pioneer CD player, as it was ordered with the radio delete option. The engine is original and has not been rebuilt as I have always used Mobil One synthetic in it. I moved to Florida in 2005 and started making some restorations. In 2006, I had the car totally repainted and I had new factory bumper fillers installed as part of the repaint process. I also had new factory rubber weather seals installed on the T-Tops, doors, windows and trunk to complete the repaint process. In 2008, I had a new factory exhaust system installed. In 2010 & 2011, I had some components of the electrical system replaced and the center link and idler arm in the front end replaced with factory parts. The car runs great. It still has excellent power and the turbo boost is very apparent. The transmission shifts well. The car handles well. The body is straight with no dents. The paint is still glossy with luster. It currently has a few minor rust bubbles on the trunk lid and a few paint chips on the doors. It has a small area on the passenger side front bumper filler needing repainting. The interior is original and unrestored. There are black seat covers on both front seats as they need re-upholstering. The carpet is in good shape as I always used floor mats. The dash and other interior pieces are in great shape. Everything works on the car except getting the A/C operational and the power brakes back to 100%. It will require approx $1000 dollars in parts and labor. It needs a new A/C compressor and A/C service (approx $400 parts & labor) and a new brake power master unit and brake service (approx $600 parts & labor) to be 100%. It has no other issues outside of a general restoration to be top quality. Having been kept original, the car could be a perfect candidate for high performance customizations if a new owner wants this. Final payment must be made by cash only, if you want to have no delays. Any payments via money order, cashiers check or bank draft must fully clear at my bank before vehicle is released, no matter how long that takes. No exceptions. If you would like to send someone to inspect the vehicle or have questions, email me or you can call 239-961-7119. Please do not ask for large quanities of additional photos as the ones already included in the auction show the general condition of this 25 year old collector vehicle. Good luck bidding on this rare piece of automotive history.
