For those of you that recall watching the 1997 James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies", youll note that this car is strikingly similar to the 750IL used by Bond in that movie. This car was purchased new in Houston, TX in January 1999 with 28 miles on the odometer. The first owner drove it very little, and the owner of Lone Star Bavarian (the local BMW service specialist) in Fort Worth purchased this car in February of 2002 with only 10k miles on it for his personal use. He sold the car to a local attorney in February of 2003 with 20k miles on it. This attorney has had it ever since then and took great care of the car. And now, you have an opportunity to own a super clean car! Since this car has been in Texas since new, there is absolutely no rust or corrosion anywhere on the body, undercarriage, or anywhere else. As you can see, the exterior looks great. The Carfax report is perfectly clean and I cant find any evidence of any previous accidents, but it does appear that the passenger rear door was repainted as some point. The finish is perfect and the only reason Im pointing this out at all is because it looks to me as if the tint of the paint color on this door is very slightly darker than the rest of the car. This is shown in the pictures and to me it actually looks slightly worse in the pictures than it does in person. The previous owner had a few tiny pebble chips on the hood professionally touched up at some point, but they did a good job. This car has been garage kept since new, so the paint is in excellent condition with no fading. The interior looks great. It has never been smoked in and there are no funky smells in the interior. There arent any stains, tears, or cracks anywhere. The seats and drivers door panel are beginning to show some slight wear (a redying of the material would make them look perfect). Additionally, a few of the tiny pixels in the lower digital section of the gauges arent lighting up as they should (although everything is still easily readable), the retractable sunshade that covers the passenger rear quarter glass isnt retracting, and the glovebox is a little hard to open. But, beyond these very minor imperfections, the interior shows extremely well and has obviously been very well cared for. All power options work perfectly (windows, locks, power adjustable steering wheel, power rear sunshade, etc., etc.) This car drives perfect in every way. My mechanic specializes in German cars, and I just had him check the car thoroughly from top to bottom to see what he could find to service. He said this is the nicest BMW E38 hes seen in many years. I also took the car to the local front end shop to have the steering and suspension checked out, and they did do a four-wheel alignment, but they could find nothing to service or replace. Everything on this car works perfectly. The buyer will be extremely pleased with the condition of this car. The car needs absolutely nothing! It is 100% good to go in every way and is ready to drive anywhere. One of the front sensors seems to be faulty and this is causing the system to not work properly.
