1964 Volkswagen Deluxe Beetle Runs and drives excellent! Recently finished, painted and reassembled, this Beetle will turn heads and is ready to cruise. The body was properly disassembled for paint and bodywork - doors, decklid, hood, fenders. Painted with PPG basecoat - L620 Savanna Beige, and then clearcoated with 3 coats of PPG Concept clear. The paintwork was then colorsanded and polished... the paint looks awesome - check out the reflections in the pictures. Reassembled with new parts from Wolfsburg West, CIP1 and West Coast Metric including - fender beading, chrome bumpers, numerous body seals, stainless polished body trim, etc... the list goes on and on! Interior is all black. New black door and quarter interior panels, new black carpeting, and black upholstery. Simple and complete interior, all the basics, getting down to business. Very comfortable, and the black contrasts well with the Savanna Beige paint. One piece Cal Look Windows up front work perfectly. All items work as they should - lights signals, radio, etc. Clean, clean, clean! New black vinyl headliner was also installed. Powered by the original 1200sp engine that was rebuilt approx. 3500 miles ago, it runs great. Transmission shifts smoothly and was recently serviced. It drives straight, stops straight, and has lots of power... great gas mileage, too. Matte black BRM aluminum wheels with polished lips are new, as are the tires. Dropped slightly front and rear. Brakes have been serviced, new KYB shocks front and rear, new shift bushings, new reverse lockout plate. Electrical system has been converted to 12 volt with a new alternator installed.
