Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 2000 Plymouth Neon LX Up for auction is a NO RESERVE 2000 Plymouth Neon LX 4 door sedan with 149,619 miles. I bought this car off of Ebay on 3/15/2008 with 56,689 miles, and it has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned! The Facts: 4 cylinder, 2.0 liter, automatic transmission, front wheel drive, power steering, power brakes, tilt steering, manual windows, door, mirrors, and seats, child safety locks, The fuel economy is rated at 24 - city, and 31 - highway. The exterior of the car is purple, and the interior is gray. The Good: The car has started every time since I have owned it. I drove it daily between 50 and 150 miles (90% + on the highway) up to the day I purchased a newer vehicle (11/22/11). The A/C blows cold! The “check engine” light is NOT on. The vehicle was not smoked in. The title is clear. I would rate the car’s interior as (9/10) and as exterior (8/10). The Bad: The heat works intermittently. When the car was in the shop 2 weeks ago, they had the heat blowing at 129 degrees, but more often than not it blows “luke-warm” air…(I am not sure if it is the heater control value, the heater core, or something else). The trunk and hood lights have been removed because they would not turn off when they were closed. All of the switches that turn on the dome light when the door is opened were also removed, except for the passenger side rear door for the same reason. The headlights only work on “high beam,” however, it is not a huge deal because the headlights are so faded. There is a small crack in the upper corner of the passenger side front windshield, which was repaired with a windshield repair kit. Every once in a while when you eject a cd it gets stuck so you have to detach the face and pull it out manually. Also…the motor does have the characteristic “Plymouth tick”…it has been that way since the day I bought the car and has NEVER been a problem. Here is a list of the services records since I have owned the car starting with the most recent… On 11/11/2011 - The right side upper and lower motor mounts were replaced as well as the radiator cap ($255.71). On 10/9/11 – (146,812 miles) - The oil was changed and a thermostat was installed. On 8/18/11 - (144,120 miles) - The front brakes pads and rotors were replaced and the tires were rotated. On 6/13/11 - One of the tires was replaced after I failed to purchase the warranty on the tires I had purchased two months prior ($67.65). On 4/21/11 - (134,779 miles) - Four, 40,000 mile tires were installed and a wheel alignment was done ($310.27). On 4/27/2010 - (110,000 miles) - The vehicle passed the “Illinois Air Team” emission test On 4/26/2010 - (109,911 miles) -The fuel tank seal was replaced ($404.20). On 4/21/2010 - (109,828 miles) - The radiator and A/C condensor were replaced ($796.17). On 7/7/2009 - (85,155 miles) - The front sway bar pins were replaced and a wheel alignment was done ($157.31). On (Date Unknown) - (73,294 miles) - The serpentine belts were replaced. On (Date Unknown) - (58,480 miles) - The stock air filter system was replaced with an aftermarket one (see picture). On (Date Unknown) - (58,240 miles) - The spark plugs and spark plug wires were replaced. The stock radio and speakers were also replaced. There is currently an Alpine cd player (model #9843) installed. I have tried my best to explain the overall condition of the vehicle to the best of my ability. If there is anything I forgot to mention, please remember the vehicle is nearly 12 years old and has nearly 150,000 miles on it. The car is being sold “AS IS” with “NO WARRANTY.” The car has the factory owner’s manual and all of the services records mentioned above. The Kelly Book Value of the car is… $3,261 (excellent), $3,011 (very good), $2,886 (good), and $2,336 (fair). I just washed, waxed, and detailed the interior and exterior of the car. I also filled it up with gas, checked all of the fluid levels, and the air pressure in the tires (including the spare). This car is ready to go and will be parked in the garage until it has a new owner…unless someone wants to test drive it before bidding. If you are an out of state bidder, I will pick you up at the airport (Midway or O’Hare). Please note...I will be out of town between December 8th through the 11th, so the car will need to be picked-up before or after the dates listed. If you have any other questions, comments, or concerns, please email me, or call or text me at (773) 350-4071. I have 100% feedback for both buying and selling…so bid with confidence!
