Your bidding on a 1931 Chevy 2 door sedan. I've owned the car since 1980 and am the 3rd owner. Car was completely apart when I bought it and my wife and I spent 14months restoring and putting back together. The car was used in the movie "A Christmas Story" filmed partly in Cleveland in 1983. The car is only seen briefly in the movie but I have personal pictures and a 3 page letter from Christmas Tree films that I can copy and include with the car. Car still has the original leather top, mohair interior and original glass. Has not been run in several years but the engine does turn freely by hand. When I last tried to start, had no spark and battery had run down. Wouldn't take much to get it running,there's no computer system onboard. Engine was not rebuilt ran fine with no oil burning after I put it in. An older restoration,needs some minor touch-up and the interior could use replacement,Hampton Coach makes precut kits. Has a couple of small chips on the passenger door, stress marks on the passenger front fender. Passenger front fender should probably be removed, just bolts on, be reworked to eliminate the stress marks and a couple of bubbles and repainted. All body parts are original but the front fenders had been repaired before I bought the car,fenders were in primer when I bought. I have pictures from when the car was found,transported and restored. As you can see the car still has a nice shine, light rub out and wax would really shine it up. Car was professionally painted with Ditzler Duracryl Acrylic Lacquer and I have the paint cans with color numbers and also a half can of heat proof engine paint that go with the car. Also pictured is the cover page from the movie documentation. Aging parents and growing grandchildren along with life's other challenges have kept us to busy to have fun with the car. We've had a lot of fun with it through the years but it's time to downsize a bit and let it go as is. Buyer pays final auction price within 7 days of auction close.GOOD LUCK!!!!!
