Offered for sale is a 1968 MG Midget purchased locally from a gentleman in his eighties. The car has been sitting in his garage for the last few years due to his health issues. A friend and I bought the car from him because he was moving back to Florida. He has had the engine rebuilt, the car painted, and many other repairs performed. After charging the battery on it, we drove it home. We are not experts by any means, but the only noticeable issue with the car was that the brakes appear to need bleeding and was a little spongy. The car has now been cleaned up for resale, and has a clear title. The car is 43 years old, and is being sold "as is", with no warranty. We have stored it since purchase, and it has not been driven again since we bought it. The car does not have the factory seats in it, but everything else appears to be original. The car includes 5 extra tires, three rims (poor condition), and numerous boxes of spare parts. A British Leyland AM/FM Radio is in one box, but it is unknown if it works. Receipts in possession and included in the sale show that this gentleman invested $6200 dollars in the engine alone, with $6000 additional dollars spent on paint and body work since 2007. One spreadsheet we found in a box of parts shows he spent over $20K on this car in the 4 years he owned it. All receipts, pictures, documentation, and shop manual are included in this sale.
