1961 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE BUBBLETOP This is my 1961 Pontiac Bonneville two door, bubble top. It is black with blue interior and drives sweet and easy. Looks bad to the bone! Sharp straight black body and nice interior. Now for the good stuff. The engine is a 400 cu. in. Pontiac bored .030 over with a mild cam, Edelbrock Performer carburetor, and HEI billet distributor W/50,000 volt coil. The car runs cool with an aluminum radiator with 2 -10 in. electric fans (on at 195 - off 180 degrees). The transmission is a turbo 350 turbo, w/lock up converter. The rear end is a narrowed 61 Pontiac with a 4 link rear suspension and pan hard bar, coil over shocks, and new drive shaft & u joints. There are Mickey Thompson (33x21.50 x15 in.) on the rear and 15 in. x 6 in. radials on front. The car has power front disc with rear drum brakes and power steering. The engine and transmission have less than 3,000 miles on them. The car just won Best in Class for modified class at car show 9/3/11--------it gets the LQQKS-----------something different in a bubble top!
