Hello,i am selling a very nice 1976 Mercedes Benz 240 Diesel with a very rare 4 speed manual transmission in original condition ,never been restored,it starts right up after few sec,you must see this car and drive it to believe how nice it drives ,i drove it today in freeway and before i know it i was going 80mph and i took a picture of it .passenger rear tail light has a crack,one molding is missing a pin ,,,car is free of any smoke or leak ,no funny noises when you drive it ,it drives very smooth without shaking ,breaks are perfect and i believe it was just replaced ,clutch is very strong and was replaced few months ago,there are no cracks on dashboard which is very important ,ac might need a Freon to blow cold,heater works as it should,the original radio works perfectly fine ,everything works as it should,all door panels are in very good condition without any rips or discoloration ,all seats are in very good condition and they are firm and looks like they been filled with horse hair recently ,please look at the pictures and ask any questions you want before the auction ends,i am selling this car for a friend from Oregon ,it is a very nice little car but not a show car,it has few dents and scratches here and there as any used car should have,after all this is a 35 years old car and for it's age i believe it's in very good condition,very good on saving money for diesel ,i believe it gives you 35mpg,please come and see it before auction ends and ask questions ,i demand a none refundable deposit via paypal .i can help with shipping and get you the best price ,thank you all. On Nov-22-11 at 23:14:51 PST, seller added the following information: i have been asked about the correct miles,i don't think the car has 40k miles on it ,i believe the odo has been turn only once due to the condition of the car ,this is a 35 years old car so even 140k is extremely low miles for it. one more thing,i noticed the rear shock on driver side make little noise when hit the bump,don't know what it is but the complete shock is 70.00 dollars if it needs to be change. i have found the original maintenance booklet in the car ,you must see it,car has been service since day one ,dating 1/14/1976 at wilson imports inc. i have the original owner's manual as well.
