FOR SALE!! Antique, diesel Mercedes 300D. 4 door, A/C, radio, power windows, orginal carpet and leather seats. 2 gasoline tanks, diesel, ONE OWNER. 218,288 miles. On Nov-03-11 at 19:44:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I don’t really want to sell this car. My parents were going to be moving to Florida and they no longer are I bought the car for them. My 1st car was identical to this 1 & I have had my eye on the car for a few years, we have only owned the car since August. The previous owner is a family friend who was a pilot for pan-am. In 1978 he flew to Germany to buy it off the factory floor and then had it flown back to the states in the belly of one of the jets. He is one of those guys that could probably tell you what day of the week and the color of his shirt when he bought it so I knew I was getting a car that had been well cared for. He is a very meticulous guy and was religious about oil changes, spark plugs, belts, and filter changes, and It’s never been in the snow as you can tell from the body. He drove it to Virginia for the summer from its winter home in West Palm Beach. I had it checked out when I first got it back down here to Florida by the foreign car clinic. They said everything was great the only things they had me do was the rear brake lines and shifter bushings? The bushings made me nervous because I don’t know anything about cars but it took the shop about 20mins to change them and they told me it was no big deal they also said the ones they removed were the originals? When we drove it back from Virginia it drove smooth, It made me miss my old car. It’s never been switched to bio diesel. The owner was very proud of everything being original. I told me he had the 2nd tank installed because at times it was hard to find diesel at times in the early 80’s and the trunks are so big space was not a factor? Call me if you have any questions. I don’t have the room to garage it or I might not be selling it. Thanks. Adam (321) 890-5314
