Vehicle Detail
Classic, 1st Generation 1970 K5 4X4 Blazer. 350 SBC (small block Chevy) 8 cyl, with 4 speed manual transmission. I haven't had this rig very long, and don't know a whole lot about it, but I will tell you what I do know. It sits on aggressive 33" Thornbird tires, (about 50% tread) with American Racing Wheels. It has a newer carb, headers, and cam. It has dual exhaust and sounds Great! Always starts right up, and runs and drives good. 4X4 works. The truck does have some cancer in the usual places, and would make a great restoration project. Both rocker panels are rusted through, and there is a hole about the size of a softball, near the gas pedal. In the rear, there is some cancer near the very back. There is also some cancer near the rear back corners on the outside. Underneath looks good, and there is no rust to speak of. The body has some dings here and there, but No major dents. The paint is old and not in the best of shape. The truck has Heavy Duty front and rear bumpers, and there is a winch on the front. It's an old winch, and it isn't hooked up, so I haven't tested it. Everything seems to work electrically, except for the tach, and a couple running lights, that probably just need bulbs. The front windshield is cracked, but the rest of the glass is good. Comes with a newer JVC Cd player and 6x9 speakers that some idiot installed in the doors. (Stereo sounds pretty good!) Overall it seems to be a good running, reliable truck, that deserves a good restoration. It has some rust, as described, but Far from a Rust Bucket! An easy fix for the right person.
