2005 Saturn Ion-2 4-door sedan 144,995 miles. I have owned this Saturn since it was new, oil changed religiously every 3,000 miles. In the past two weeks I have had BOTH front wheel bearings replaced & All Oxygen sensors were replaced so that the car would pass emissions. On my way to work the other day, the "Check Engine" light & the "Reduced Power" light came on and the engine sounded like it turned into a deisel... I pulled the car over and had it towed back to my mechanic's shop. My mechanic says that it probably "threw a rod" and he wants $2,200 for him to put a "junkyard" engine into it... After all I've spent on it over the last few weeks.... I'm done!! Car is being sold "AS IS". The car is currently located in Wallingford, CT (local pick-up only) I tried to take pics of what's wrong: 1) The passenger front fender is missing a chunk of plastic....and, the hood is a little bit dented it that area 2) The driver's side seat has a wear hole from 6 years of faithful service.
